Great review, one thing I would like to correct is that the sashiko is actually woven in by machine as the fabric is constructed rather than stitching by hands, one interesting thing about this is that the base denim fabric of the century denim is actually 90 degrees off compared to normal denim pants so that the sashiko woven threads enforce the strength of the fabric instead of weakening it. About washing if you don’t want them to shrink just cold wash and hang dry, I owns 5 pairs of century denim in different versions including the no123 and never experienced any noticeable shrinkage washing them that way.
