Being random is Potato if this were irl, Lena would be swamped by paps every second she and Kara were outside, Kara would’ve been exposed like... days after she became Supergirl, everything would’ve been.... so different wow. I never really thought about this but there would be so much more that’s different.
Actually, Kevin, IIRC, Winn worked IT in CatCo, so I assume that he merely "borrowed" some of their spare equipment and moved it into that office. That said, that's an awful lot of spare equipment to be borrowing.
@@crucisnh Come on, nothing in that series is particularly realistic. Kara would've been exposed through face recognition technology (or simply people who use their eyes) within days, or simply spotted flying out of her own apartment window, same goes for Clark ...
@@AGH331 In shows (or movies) like this, there's always some degree of suspension of disbelief in the storytelling. I do agree that it's a stretch to not look at Kara and Supergirl and say, "duh, they're the same person". Ditto for Superman, because the whole "I'm a bumbling fool in real life" won't really fool anyone after a while. At some point, someone will look past the illusion and the glasses, and think that they're about the same height, build, hair color, and so on. And start to really wonder. Of course, when Superman and Supergirl were created, facial recognition technology hadn't even been invented yet, though even with normal human senses, one can eventually come to the conclusion that they do look quite a lot a like. For me, my personal suspension of disbelief gets stressed when I see things that just aren't right with basic physics. For example, in the Fantastic Four movie when the Thing is saving the fire truck from falling over the side of the bridge, he pushes down on the bumper of the truck. That just wouldn't work, because no matter how strong you are, the firetruck is sort of a lever, and the Thing is (for argument's sake) only a one thousand pound weight. The weight of the truck would simply be greater than Thing's weight and lift him up, unless his feet were braced under some beam that could withstand the pressure. OTOH, Superman in that same situation could prevent the truck from falling over, not because of his raw strength, but because he'd use his power of flight to offset the force vector of the truck's weight that's attempting to fall over the side. Yeah, this may sound complex, but I recognize it intuitively as being some bullshit some ignorant writer came up with. Ah, well.
Thanks so much for the videos! However there're missing parts. Can you please upload full episodes, or at least all the parts of each episode? Thanks again!
For the life of me I cannot understand why Jeremy Jordan was not cast as Jimmy Olsen. Was it too on the nose? I think Mehcad Brooks should have been cast as a hero love interest for Kara someone she could learn from and grow close to whether it's professional or romantic.
I don't mind that Jimmy was cast as a black guy but he still should be the comedy relief or side-kick, not turned into some hot guy that all the girls around him want to be with, including Kara. He actually could have filled in Winn's role, if they really wanted to push his new characterization into the show.
To easy to reveal the secret of the super hero....and too many people would be in danger....in the old time, keeping the secret is to protect the love one... what if the enemy do to her/his love...
I agree, I don't like the new trend of revealing identities so easily, or having identities be discovered. especially when the identity is revealed by something said to the hero, something he does, his face/beard, etc that lets someone else know, hey that's my buddy that i know from work.
As I remember reading in various comments, Cat Grant knows at some point but still pretends to just treat Kara as a helper while secretly rooting for her as Supergirl.
@@pershop4950 Cat recognized Sueprgirl almost immediately ("It's you. Oh, no, I'm sorry, I meant to say "who are you?", said right after the light hit Supergirl's face), at the end of this episode. She called Kara out on it 5 eps later (stating evidence, such as Kara disappearing every time Supergirl appeared). Then J'onn and Kara tried to trick her by having Kara and "Supergirl" in the same room, but IF that worked, it was only for a few episodes (after which there were two Supergirls with Bizarro, she recognized J'onn pretending to be Kara wasn't Kara, and certainly figured it out when Kara was on Red K, both Kara and SG were being assholes, and Supergirl was stopped by a shapeshifter in front of a crowd with camera phones outside of CatCo). And by time Flash showed up, she absolutely was trying to get the point of across that she knew the truth when she she pointed out she knew Barry was the Flash and they asked her how she knew.
Where the hell was Kal-el in the first season of Supergirl. Where the hell was Kal-el in the third season ? He is her cousin whitch mean´s family. Ah i see drink wine with her never exist sister Alex is more important. Verry sad. Smallvilles Supergirl was by far better. She has more contact to her cousin. Much closer to the true´s (comic´s) BTW REAL FAMILY BLOOD IS THICHER THEN WATER ! Kara Zor-el/Kal-el :) Thanks for the vid whitch inlighten us :))
DimitriYar not to burst your bubble bro but that was deliberate as the writers didnt want another superman show with supergirl taking a back seat, so shes the one who shines 👉🏼👉🏼
DimitriYar acutely if superman came to supergirl and stayed for all the seasons he will stole all the lightes from the hero of the series "kara" and the series will not be special cus this series should be about kara story but if superman showed up in some of the episodes that will make it so special and make the people want to see it
They were trying to create an independence from Superman but in the end, having him and other super heroes shows up in the show actually help it! Eg that Season 2 episode with Superman's first appearance in the series was awesome
