Well the writers were huge fans. I feel like a lot of these remakes would be better if written by fans such as this show. A lot of them are written by some dude who saw the movie or show once or read the synopsis and went from there.

Completely agree! Ash vs Evil Dead was by far my favorite show ever. Wicked disappointed that it was cancelled after 3 seasons. Starz really dropped the ball. Cobra Kai has filled that void for me and is by far the best written show in forever. Hopefully it keeps going for a while. RU-vid Red doesn’t have much for original programming and drops shows like flys so I really hope they stick with this for the long haul.

All I watched documentary some RU-vid videos you watch Shark Tank and the profit I just don't get into any of the things on TV with nowadays but this show is amazing I just discovered it yesterday and watched the entire first season I can't wait for season 2

I couldn't agree more. This show actually respects the original characters, introduces realistic cool, new characters and knows that while many younger people while dig this too its core audience is 30 and 40 somethings who grew up on the Karate Kid. Plus it takes shots at modern day P.C. culture and shows actual real diversity and inclusion without making it forced, contrived, and super lame.

@Sweet James Nope, I don't. ... I'm just the type of guy who often loved rooting for the villains such as John Kreese, J.R. Ewing, Megatron, Galvatron, Serpentor, King Zarkon, The Borg, etc.. Cobra Kai is a series where we FINALLY see the bad guys winning - and it is AWESOME! ... Cobra Kai is the equivalent of a TV series called "Star Trek - The Last Generation" that lasts seven seasons and focuses entirely on The Borg conquering the entire galaxy. Now THAT would be awesome! My friends and I absolutely LOVE Cobra Kai!

I actually met these 2 last year & they were pretty cool. Kreese gave me a free autograph & told me about a 3-page fight scene between him & Johnny. Johnny took a free pic with me. I also showed them my Naruto style Cobra Kai headband pic.

I also noted something else as I went back and rewached season 1. the irony of Daniel growing up coming to the poorer part of town and Johnny being in the rich part along with his buddies, whereas now, johnny who had issues is now living in the poorer area/ or at least not having a lot of money exactly, while Daniel and his children are living in the upscale part. that along with a lot of other things.

I'm happy with the 10 episodes. Enough of the flashback, time to develop a good story. Think of it this way. You're getting a 5 hr sequel every year. With cliffhangers. Teasing another season.

This series needs to go longer. I'd like to see 24 or 25 episodes in a "Season," just as we would with a series such as Star Trek, X-Files, Dallas, or Friends. ... And I would love it if the episodes were 45 Minutes long - the equivalent to what they would be if they were on a TV channel with a 60-minute time slot.

Or both.

I was thinking something similar. Daniel sees Kreese show up, and possibly the guy that he fought in KK Part 3, then knowing that he's in over his head, he is over at Miyagi Do, and gets a knock on the door. It's the grandchild of Mr. Sato, and possibly his mother, Kumiko.

I know, I swear I was so captivated by the old sensei's snake tale that this 2 minute clip felt like 20 seconds and I got so upset the video ended with that annoying music
