it's expected close minded people would criticize when someone talks positively about Islam faith, This Lady is a catholic and clearly a theologian with her knowledge about religions this is something clearly to be respected but of course as expected people who have lack of knowledge about Islamic faith and if things said goes against their thinking they could only criticize and call her names that are not appropriate! DUH!
When it comes to today's religious debates, the modern world is so divorced from the philosophy and worldviews of the various ancient religions that we can't even communicate in the same language when having them. The more you research in the area, the farther and farther away you get from today's secular (as well as religious, in the case of those who don't know their own religion) way of viewing reality itself. That's why its hilarious to me watching believers and nonbelievers go at it. Its a pointless debate. If you really want to understand where the thinking and motivations of the believers are coming from, you've got a lot of work to do. The areas of philosophy, linguistics, and history are a must. Comparative religions arise from that, and then you're only scratching the surface. As we go on, I think it will become apparent that this work will have to be done in order to solve the problems tied to religion. The methods we're currently using - bullets and bombs abroad, cameras and surveillance at home - is getting both expensive and bloody.
Apparently, alot of westerners cannot accept the fact they are wrong Islam and wants to claim that this lady who is a scholar in religion, does not know what she is talking about! deal with it

Nope she is not... it is actually political, and they try to justify their claims by the misinterpretations of the scripture. We can say the same thing about the Spanish inquisition, the crusades, and European colonialism. In fact, the quran addresses these kind of people, read Quran 2:85

Awe come on! How can the caliphate be "laughable" to Muslims if it was Muhammad's goal and his teachings are the highest example? I've heard Muslims in the West say this is a good idea. For many Muslims it's "East vs West" and the caliphate fits nicely into that world view. I just can't buy that.

I just finished reading her book about Muhammed where she clearly describes the beheading of 700 jews in medina many centuries before the creation of israel. I don't understand why she makes dishonest excuses for islam.
Well I guess the reasonable question would be why and how true is that story. Let me tell why, this tribe is called Banu-Quraidha they were in treaty with muslims that they both practice their faith peacefully in Médina and defend each other if the city get attack. This people did not only not defend the Medina as the treaty dictates they attacked muslims when they were fighting Paigans. Therefore the prophet punished them but he didn’t kill 700 men, he killed some of their army not the incombantes. In fact Imam Malik who is a great scholar who was born 80 years after the prophet death didn’t accept that narration because it’s just odd, because it couldn’t be possible that only one person narrated this big story.

Here is a fact, the punishment was lead my the leader of the Ows, and he carried it after giving the jews four month to leave, and after addressing it, the jews were punished by what the Jewish scripture says. No women or chiId were harmed, only the men of fighting age were. Also, let's read what God had commanded in the bible: "Deut 13:6" & "1 samuel 15:3, & 2 chronicles 15:12-3" &, jesus himself in "luke 19:27" "Matthew 10:34" & "Numbers 31:17-18" etc..

Islam denies God has a Son.. therefore according to 1 John 2:22 it is clearly anti christ.. and has no links to Abraham as Islam does not know God , no one knows the Father except the Son and visa versa. Islam denies the son..therefore it follows you know not the Father.
