I love Karen, when she sings she always gives her total ALL. She holds nothing back. In an interview I saw she said her Mom told her always sing like its your last time and she does just that.
She does JUST WHAT her momma told her on her dying bed..."ALWAYS go out there and give him your all!!!.. BUST HELL DOORS WIDE OPEN with EVERY NOTE!"...This is the BEST performance of this song after aside from KiKi's debut performance...(2:02-2:04 just gave me tha goosebums) MA LOWWD!!!
Exactly. I point out stuff like that, but i've always realized that everyone that worships God worships him differently. I worship Him through dance. And The Clark Sisters worship Him with their voices. People say that she may overdo it but she's just giving God the priase.

Guys leave the judging to God; its His job. Everyone one of us will have to face God and account for our life. We are not called to worry about someone elses; make sure yours is in shape. Karen keep on belting out the message - someone needed to know that "if go says go, He means go.." God bless you.
Many people say that karen is more focused on her singing then praising the lord but at the end of the day everyone is expected to worhsip the lord in thier own special ways, nothing specific so take karen's singing as her own signature way of praising the lord
Right! I'm a singer as well so I feel the exact same way that you do. I just make sure that I don't get TOO caught up in it and become like alot of the Kim Burrell spawns out there....That run on every syllable. So listening to them makes me want to work at it TAT much more.
If you are goig to measure her, measure her right. Karen does have the ability to perform well but she is also an evangelist. You're right she performs certain tasks that she's paid for like you perform certain tasks when you work to get paid..but just listen to what she's saying..she ministers and you wouldn't understand that unless you've seen and heard her in both atmospheres as a minister and as a performer and the anointing comes in whenever a clean vessel invokes it regardless.

Let's remember to put GOD first. As Karen said "If God says go then go" But you must be his child to even hear him. Always be mindful that GOD is watching us, he sees all whether in the dark or the light.
The reason she is showcasing is because she is using the gift that GOD gave her to the fullest extent which he wants us to do, she is still a woman and servant of God, but I understand what u meant that people focusmore on how well she cans sing rather than the point and anointing she is try to present and give.
I highly disagree. Growing up they were always told that when they sing, they have to sing like it's their last time. Hence, why they all sing the way they do, they put their all into it. They were also told that whatever they do for God, it has to be done right. So just because she does all the vocal tricks doesn't mean she's more focused on her singing. I believe that she is more focused on ministery than singing. If you're doing something for God...why not do it with excellence?

Suit yourself! Karen Clark-Sheard, while a truly powerhouse singer/vocalist is a performer! Her audience wants to hear growls, runs and scales: with a huge array of screaming, yelling and wailing thrown in. Karen never disappoints her audience..hence...performing! So where does the annointing come in at?...you tell me!
Agree! That's all I try and point out to their rabid fans. Alot of their fan appreciation is really idol worship and the sad fact is they can't even see it. Most are too busy saying "Listen to what she did at 2:22" or "That was a sick growle at 1:47" to recognize idol worship for what it really is!
I disagree karen is a annoited singer and she is focussed on giving God the Glory no matter how much runs she does. She sings with a annoting and is not focussed on her singing sorry but I disagree entirely.
This is the biggest bunch of bull!...No singer worth their salt is sitting around shaking and cowaring behind a desk in fear of Karen Clark ending their careers with her singing. I can assure you one particular singer to whom Karen could not even carry her luggage....DORINDA CLARK-COLE!!! Hmm! that's her sister, right?..lol
