super yummy and easy karhai gosht!
add 3 cups of water to IP
2 pounds beef boti - boneless beef cubes
5 to 6 peppercorns
1 tbsp salt
1 tbsp ginger paste
1 tbsp garlic paste
mix
pressure cook on high for 30 minutes
release the pressure and drain the beef
reserve 1 cup of the broth
5 tomatoes cut them in half
couple of green chilies
1/2 cup of yogurt - at room temperature
3 tbsp heavy cream
spices:
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1 teaspoon red chili flakes
1 teaspoon kasuri methi
1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
julienne ginger - add desired amount
chopped cilantro / coriander
in a wide pan add 1/2 cup oil
add beef boti
1 tbsp garlic paste
1 tbsp ginger paste
mix for 1 minute
add the tomatoes sliced in half
mix it around
cover and cook for 5 to 6 minutes
after 5 to 6 minutes remove the skins of the tomatoes and discard it
mash the tomatoes
once mashed add the yogurt and heavy cream
add green chilies
add all spices besides the garam masala and kasuri methi
mix and cook for 5 minutes
add beef broth
cook for another 2 to 3 minutes
add 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
add kasuri methi
add 1 tbsp of butter
pinch of kala namak
add ginger, cilantro and mix
garnish with more ginger cilantro and green chiles
