dude. I've been listening to these old Ricky Gervais shows for 10 years, to see them on here now.. so much fun.. especially when they laugh like that at stuff I always laughed my ass off too
@@Knob-Oddy-likes-me What’s the timeline of the show? I’m confused on the formats, when they started it was xfm which is called the The Ricky Gervais show right? When they talk about xfm on the cartoon they talk of it as before that show so did they bring the podcast somewhere else at some point? Is there 2-3 versions of the podcast on different channels or did the series start on xfm and then they moved away from that and finished it outside of xfm?
@@jgooner894 they met at xfm and did 3 series worth of the Ricky Gervais show as a radio show, then after Karl left xfm they got together and did 5 series of the podcasts
@@jgooner894 They started on the XFM radio show and did 5 seasons (1 with just Ricky and Steve in 1998, the next 4 with Karl from 2001-2005). This was called 'The Ricky Gervais Show on XFM'. They then did the podcasts to have a bit more control over what they produced (could swear more, no ad breaks etc) which ran in various formats sporadically from 2005-2010. This was called 'The Ricky Gervais Show Podcast'. The podcasts were then turned into the HBO cartoon that was also called 'The Ricky Gervais Show'. None of the cartoon was of the XFM radio show though. That's why the XFM radio shows (which IMO are the funniest content because it's less 'planned' and more genuine) are only available in audio form. That's why I'm trying to animate them myself, so that people have visual content to go with it. I'm not a professional animator though so my animations are a bit amateur looking.
Holy shit this is gold haha!! 😆 I really didn't think this could be any funnier, but seeing you guys losing it had me in tears ... "the glasses touched his eyes" 🤣🤣
So happy you commented, found the trance I love and cried when "the glasses touched his eyes" too Gotta love Frankenstein's Lab for bringing people together
My favourite thing is even in the first 2 minutes Ricky and Steve are constantly insulting Karl, but the funniest thing is the first thing he says! He's a complete genius.
Mick from Australia boys. I havent laughed that hard in a long time. Please never stop listening to Ricky Steve and Karl. Im going to have a lie down now because my stomach is so sore.
The name '15 Taiwan' is based on a former UK TV quiz show called '15 to 1', where 15 contestants take part and get eliminated until the winner is found.
I like that it's Ricky who always says the most brutal things about Karl but then Karl always turns to attack Steve. Also Karl actually suggests that Steve is the "weak link" in their trio, when Steve literally co-wrote The Office and Extras , two of the funniest shows of all time.
@@nickya9257 I dunno if he's that calculated. Steve actually tries to be gentle but he also understands the premise of the show is that Karl's POV is utterly bizarre. While Ricky just calls Karl a little, round-headed twat.
@@saintsataniko2116 If you listen to 100s of hours of their radio show, Steve actually does pile on after Ricky is insulting Karl and then hides behind Ricky. I think that probably irritates Karl that Steve has to hide behind Ricky.
@@andrew348 NICE TRY mate, but I was listening to the radio show and downloading their podcast on iTunes going back to the early 2000's. I know that Steve pokes at Karl at the behest of Ricky, but Steve's nature is clearly not that of a bully. Ricky revels in being a bully. Nevertheless Karl would rather go in on Steve than Ricky.
@@kylio95 maybe it was After works reaction, check him out, he is the most amazing reaction fella to all Karl Pilkington stuff, he did them all, but these guys are my second reaction choice, I’m confused if it was these fellas but I think it was After works, Josh, but hey, shout out to to these guys to watch it. I’ll try to find it x
Maaaan i miss The Ricky Gervais show XFM days! It needed a "do not drive vehicles or operate heavy machinery while listening" Apologies for being late finding your channel!!! your tears of laughter was brilliant! 😂😂😂😂
I'd love to bump into Rondo and remind him about the time that Steve's glasses touched his eyes. 😂 he took ages to settle down after that one. I think Francis Nganou recovered quicker after the Joshua fight 🤣🤣
Yet another great vid, love your Ricky, Steve and Karl reactions as you two have genuinely honest and infectious laughter. Your both great lads. Takecare fellas. Regards.
You have no idea how happy it made me to see you guys laughing that hard at something I love so much. Tons of content on xfm. So glad your watching it!
I shared those tears with you ..that was absolutely hilarious you guys are legends ...an so is Karl ..best day ever finding your channel thanku so much love you loads God bless x
Oh god I just thought of the one where Karl rings in sick, omg. I so look forward to you building up to that one, love you guys, you make me laugh along the way of the Pilkington path. Magic x
I love this compilation, it really shows that Karl has great comic timing and the show isn't just about laughing AT him. "eyes that pop out of their head...steve?" That's like a written line from a comedy show.
Listening to this on the way to work... laughing and smiling my head off, people looking at me thinking why is he so happy? Best way to start a morning giggling your f*****g head off :)
Great reaction fellas. I've got these xfm recordings somewhere & theres hours & hours of material. You could do one a week for the next few years.. just saying 😌
Guys, could you please someday react to a comedian called Erik Myers ? Sadly, he passed away last year, but his material is hilarious and deserves more views !
Seen your comment, checked him out....Watched about 20 minutes of his stand-up......Hilarious! Can't believe I never heard of him before....Thank you....I hope they do a reaction video of him....
In terms of greatness, the pecking order goes like this: 1. The XFM shows are the best. They are spontaneous, unedited, and unfiltered. Comedy gold. 2. The Podcasts are also good, but they are edited and thus not as not as raw and free-form as the XFM shows. Comedy silver. 3. Finally, the HBO cartoon uses the conversations from the Podcasts, but they are further edited down to fit into a ~20 minute episode, and thus many great bits are missing. Comedy Bronze.
