Nothing like standing in the audience close enough to hear the native sound of her guitar (without hearing the PA) and watching her perform. A night I will never forget.
Kevin E :Karla Bonoff will never be forgotten, not by me anyway and a lot of other people as well! Anyone who loves music from the heart and the voice of an angel will never forget her or abandon her for that matter!
Listening to Karla is so emotional, especially right now. Both of my parents are in a Hospice Home, I live so far away, was with them for a week two weeks ago, caught Covid and had to go home. Preparing to go back next week. Our former Borser Collie was such a good girl, very talkative, she actually snuggled with my husband and me in 2014 and sang along to Karla Bonoff with us for the whole album, never heard a dog do that, just Una.
practically peerless when it comes to these emotional gems..her vocals bleed out such hurt & anguish, yet the most comforting feelings, listening to her sing, a true legend amongst our singer-songwriters of the past half century...and has never sounded better these days..
I saw her first backing up James Taylor, or maybe they played co headlines I don't recall but in Red Rocks back in the late 80s. I've been hooked since. I just love this song too, it cant get much better than this.......
I've been listening to you since the 70s and your songs still fill me up like they ever did. You are fantastic Karla. Thank you for existing ..... I am writing to you from Colombia.
