Kids were terrified to go against anything their parents said. go back and listen to lyrics of first 3 albums . There were some pretty strong albeit correct comments on Korean education system and societal expectations that to this day need to be addressed. There is a reason why S. Korea has the highest suicide among children and young adults.
A certain fandom and the fans of a certain someone are going to be hating on namjoon for having the same album release date. Armies let's focus on streaming for rm.

this is SO not true, he did win in any category he fit in. It was not a K pop album. It was so good! He got the recognition from well respected and honest places. and he was very proud and happy. Plus he is winning Best Leader by a landslide! RM and Big Hit have total control over anything they do as does BTS.

@@JkLina13 Joon's album wasn't really something made for commercial success. It's thoughtful and alternative, and possibly the farthest you can go from kpop. I'm sure that played a big part in his numbers, but realistically, his numbers are great. Of course, now we've had more experience with their solo work and can work hard to get him more achievements :)

@@JkLina13 I personally believe that while I stan all of them, I'm not obligated to obsessively stream and buy all of their solo music. I'm going to buy the ones that I enjoy the most. I don't think anyone should be forced to listen and support something they don't vibe with. For me personally, I didn't really like Tae's album, because I'm not the greatest fan of jazz and blues. So I didn't really listen to it. I think that just could have been the case with Indigo. But regardless, I think you need to take a step back and think. Indigo sold over 800,000 copies. 800,000. That's insane, especially when it had so little promotion. It may not have a song with 1b streams, but only 2 BTS members have that. I think instead of focusing on what didn't happen, we should focus on what did. Indigo was increadibly successful. There will always be solo stans, and nothing will change that. But I don't necessarily think that someone is a fake fan if they don't like one of the members' solo work.

I purchased "Layover" as soon as it came out. I bought it from South Korea which took longer to get to me in the States, but I wanted to support Taehyung and South Korea too. I've been waiting for years for him to do a solo work and I hoped it would be bluesy/jazzy and I was so happy that he did just that.

The army who supported "every member" with their 100% love are only deserved to see them in 2025/2026. And especially the army who supported namjoon's music are deserved to him. I’m a streamer by nature so Golden Layover DDay etc are always streaming in my house. I refuse to give other fandoms the pleasure of seeing our family fail. We must stay united and help all of our guys to reach their full potential. After all we are ARMY by definition we must take up their slack while they are not available. I’d hate for them to return with no “home” to return to so let’s do our best to keep their “house” better than when they left it. Let’s live up to our name ARMY representatives of BTS.
