I must say, when the "Duo de Jenlis" channel went inactive I feared you and your sister would be limiting your collaborations. How elated I am to find it is instead because your brother joined in to make it the Trio Jenlis! And this piece is so hauntingly beautiful. Thank you for sharing this work with us.
I feel like an early bird but needed to say that this was absolutely magnificent, especially the part with crescendos in second movement after 7:00. I adored this trio and love the harmonization among violin, cello and harp. Congrats!! x
Héloïse, I love that you’re still playing and posting. I wasn’t a fan of this piece but keep playing and posting videos. Even though you’ll have people like me who weren’t a fan of the song they’ll be people who love it. Regardless you still play amazing.
This is a rare find. In terms of this ensemble, it occurs to me this trio might take a look at a Brahms gem, affectionately called 'trio', I think op.40, originally scored for Horn, and referred to by some as the 'horn trio'. But the Arrangement (schirmer) usually offers a cello part as an alternate to the horn. So clearly the Pianoforte part will be an interesting thing to be adapted to a harp. Anyway - only if you really love Brahms, maybe. (It could ordinarily be piano, violin, and 'cello) great stuff, here. thx.
