@@janewwu1063 not sure what this has to do with the post but Halep won because tennis is more than physical, it is mental and she had her head in the game. Serena did not. Simona Halep is a brilliant fucking player. Never underestimate anyone because of their size. I'd tour the world to cheer them both on. Any other questions?
Die hard Simona fan but also happy for Karolina. High time this girl really deserves a big tournament title! Simo has been great this year, now rest and come back even better for 2020😎
@@dustyfun5944 yeah but in that match she hit another lucky netcord herself for which she didn't even apologise, so that was karma for the pliskobot :P
Chiar daca ai pierdut Simona un lucru adevarat ai jucat SPLENDID,si noi nu vom inceta sa te iubim ori ce ar fi.Tot binele din lume sa fie cu tine. One Love.

Congrats to Kája. Sad for Simona but she will be much stronger next year. So perfect crowd from both players. Very loud match. So many supporters of Karolína :D :D :D
@ferzy09 i agree... she's one year older next year and with those girls Osaka,Andreescu,Kenin,Sabalenka & Anisimova (will prove that very soon!) she won't prevail trust me
This is literally the most defensive I have ever seen Halep in her entire career. Most of her groundstrokes landed in the service box and were all easily attackable. She makes it so much harder for herself to get ahead in the match when she puts the ball so short in the court with almost every shot.
I am starting to think that Halep is overrated. She has no imagination or creativity in her game. She just hits the ball hard. She is one-dimensional player.
Yes - IDK why she is standing so far behind the baseline. She became such a great player by standing on or very close to the baseline absorbing power, redirecting balls, and running less. She has to know this ! I dont get it.
@@skanksinatra514 I hate being on the defensive and I love to be on or inside the baseline. I guess her and I have different tennis mentalities but she makes it so much harder on herself. Now if she had been on the baseline for most of these rallies I really think she could have gotten Karolina on the run and she would have won the match in maybe two tough sets. She has to get back on the baseline like she did back at Wimbledon against Serena.
@@bitterandsweet1499 nope, he's an interviewer and makes a good living. Shows just how much you know. No need to disrespect hard work and excellence, it should motivate you to do better. And off the tennis court, those two are a lovely couple. Do your research before you try to disrespect a former #1 world-class athlete.
I think Simona lost the match in the 1st set .... Obviously, Karo did her homework and brought her A game, backed up by the right tactics... And, the first 10-15 minutes of the match, Simona seemed to be totally overwhelmed by Karo's power and sharpness ... BUT, even so, she surrendered the 1st set far too easy ... If she had wanted to have more chances against Karo's game today, she should have pushed her over the 2 hours limit ...
@c fedyszyn Halep vs Pliskova h2h 7-5 (with this last match included). Halep 2 Grand Slams, Pliskova 0. Halep 64 weeks as number 1, Pliskova 8 weeks. Pliskova is already 27, only 6 month younger than Simona. When will she manifest her full potential? She played at her best here, and she barely won.
Hitting short angles against Simona is a very good tactic. More players need to do it on clay against her. As good as Halep is on the run, if you can get her regularly off the court she goes into defensive mode.
She singlehandedly but perhaps mysteriously beat Serena at Wimbledon, I guess there is now much more interest in her now even though she won the French Open in 2018
I thought immediately of the match against Karolina Muchova and it's end in Wimbledon. Next to be that lucky will be Simona, probably in a match against Svitolina.
Why halep fans bring up injuries and tired excuse whenever she loses. She lost when other player peaked. She is a counter puncher who gets exposed when big hitter is on
Darren Cahill was right that Halep attitude was a disgrace. She basically beat herself with negativity. Up 2/0 3rd set and points for a double break she completely collapsed with negativity. It's hard to believe she has won 2 slams when she does this every match. I hope in 2020 she can beat the demons, to play tennis as a perfectionist is impossible, so hard on herself when leading matches, if I saw that kind of emotion I would get a big lift from it, knowing she's on the brink
I'm sad for her, body language completely changed. She could have won! She made too many mistakes in the final set and that last point was a burner. Next year I hope better for her
She should of won today, she beat herself. Always negative. It's actually boring to watch when she is like it. She has improved from 2016/2017 when she use to have meltdown nearly every match but to beat the best you need to reserve energy not waste it
@@dominicspiller481 , I agree this year over now. Next year hopefully she can improve her behaviour. She lost her cool after the could have gone up 3-0 in the third set.
@@dominicspiller481 she did not have enough practice on hard, and that particular shenzen hard was even worse for her play. but simo also reckoned she was "nervous", so lets admit she's only human!
So there were 4 Slam champions here and only Barty will advance, honestly I was watching this tournament for Halep, Osaka and Bianca and it has been a very bad tournament for me given all the injuries, even Kenin had to play. I don't understand how Svitolina that is good but not amazing is able to play like this in WTA finals.
@@dandresaldi I think it a matter of time before svitolina reach final. This year she reached two semi final in slams but unfortunately she was hampered by knee injury throughout the year and totally destroyed her clay season which was her strongest surface
@@solo3663 maybe yes, but it’s hard to predict I think. I try not to make a lot of predictions in WTA because it is very random. Maybe in 2020 there’s a new superstar or maybe Coco starts dominating, maybe Bianca and Naomi dominate but honestly I think that Svitolina is missing some skills to be really amazing, just remember how she lost to Serena in the USO, she was not able to compete while Osaka, Andreescu, Halep, Kerber, Pliskova and others have been able to win or compete against her. I think that Svitolina doesn’t have what it takes to be a Slam champion but obviously I can be wrong.
@Harvey Grant you crawled back into a corner after being caught for lying about Andreescu and overplaying Pliskova and now you are out again trying to pull the same shit. FUCK OFF loser
@In CogNito , she's just disappointed with the third set. She made alot of errors that caused ka to go ahead. She could have won. But they both played good.
Simona...adding to her record number of weeks in the top 10...surpassed Venus at 294 weeks in top 10,months ago...five yrs plus in top 10 ...the most consistent player in WTA history...short stuff wins all majors next year... Si..mon...a...Si...mon...Si...mon...a...
she deserved every word. i wouldnt be able to coach her... but i still love her.. so that's the story of Simona's fans. her service is so weak that every powerful girl attacks it easily. she needs to change her attitude and improve her game. Wimbledon was the only tournament where she played totally different.
@@marinav2118 you're asking too much of simo. she is as she is with her limits, and in spite of that she reached summits, we romanians will never ever dream of reaching... deci, sa-i dam cezarului ce-i al cezarului... enough said?
Is it me, or is it hard to root for Pliskova, when for the first two sets, she didn't seem to want to be there? Finally, in the 3rd set, she started to show some emotions... What is with these Russian, or former Soviet block athletes, that keep their emotions in check so much so that you don't really know what's going on inside? I guess communism will do that to you?
i think she's just a very focused player. she gets down to business and is no nonsense so i guess it seems like she isn't there? in off-court interviews she seems very down to earth and giggly.
Halep fans: SI-MO-NA !! Halep fans: SI-MO-NA!! Halep fans: “SI-MO”. Me: shut the fûck up Halep fans:.......... Me after watching the video: LOSE-MO-NA!
Halep beat an aging superstar GOAT and folks drank the Kool aid. She beat an injured teen in Andreescu and people got drunk on the Kool aid. Halep never dominated Serena in her prime and is okay at best.
Halep herself came very unprepared for this tournament. 7 days before the tournament she was still in hospital for her back. Pliskova has barely managed to beat Halep bringing her best game. Actually, Halep simply beat herself at the end by totally losing her cool and getting negative.
