Karona, False God: Commander's Guild Deck Tech/Gameplay 

Cultist does nothing to Karona as its never in any players upkeep when its suppost to trigger.

That background strategy was super sick!!!

I have played against Karona before, and card does some work. It's great if you get it and you have a tribal deck, but then it becomes very scary when your opponents get control of her and they are also playing a tribal deck (Slivers was my case, and needless to say, that was not a good one to get her). Awesome to see it taking on a new theme with her though, backgrounds do seem really cool, and being in all 5C is just interesting. Then just an Enchantment style deck as well, yes please. Cool Interactions as always, the Clan Crafter/Shiny Impetus one is very intriguing and has a fun time working together. From the lay out of this deck, and the game plan of it, it came in at a relatively cheap price. Looks awesome and can't wait to see the game and see how it flows. Not having much experience playing with Karona myself though, I'm not sure how to weigh in for upgrades......aside from just maybe enchantment pay offs. When it comes to the opponents this time around, I have to go with Alesha, Mina & Denn, and Bane for terms of what I'm concerned about. Cool to see Bane, as like Myrkul it a card I've thought about maybe putting in God Squad, so would like to see how it works in the command zone, since it will be in the 99 for me, but might give me some ideas. Alesha is by far the highest threat level to me, as you stated - the card can get out of hand very fast. Mina & Denn in the iteration that is being played (Gruul Superfriends) is not the way I would of assessed it for threat, as I feel Lands matters and such is more the wheel house, but it a spicy idea and excited to see how it plays out. Congrats to the winner of the first game, wasn't expecting a 2nd one to be honest. For the 2nd game's threat level it the same as the first, but Yidris taking 1st place instead of Alesha. Should be fun to see the Extra turn variant of Yidris though, as Cascade is where my mind goes to, or a storm build. Glad to see the Gruul superfriends get a fair shake this time around and to do what it wanted, was awesome to see. Congrats to both winners, and than you for the amazing games. I had to do some research on this to double check, but the Cloakwood Hermit and Street Urchin cool interaction doesn't quite work since the Hermit specifies a creature card. You could still sacrifice one to do 1 damage for the street urchin, but wouldn't get to create two new squirrels from it. That said, this looks like an interesting deck. The backgrounds are a cool mechanic that deserve more attention

One thing i did with my karona deck was adding harmful enchantments on karona like visions of brutality, treacherous link and unnatural hunger. This way she's pulling more work when theyre forced to attack with her. Had a guy lose nearly 15 life simply because karona attacked and got blocked.

2 things, 1. Mike's gotta chill for real, g1 t1 Alesha into Master of cruelties into g2 extra turns.deck 2. When you played the backgrounds in g2 you shouldn't say "as long as it attacks a player not at the lowest life total" it'd be more accurate to say "as long as it attacks the opponent with the highest life total or tied for the highest"
