Thanks Karren, very inspiring Steve pls go and learn about post traumatic slave syndrome. Some of your fleeting remarks about people of colour are not factual and your experience isn’t everyone else’s. You’re instilling stereotypical belief’s to describe millions of people. Generational trauma is real, don’t be dismissive and liken it to the parallel of being a woman. Regardless of what we’ve been through as people of colour, ‘Yet still we rise’. Rule of thumb; Share the positive more than you’re willing to embed the negative narrative on people of colour.

Glad I watched this interview, I've never seen Karen outside of the apprentice and she's one woman that I believe needs to do more interviews. To show other females it's ok to want to live a peaceful life, with minimal materialistic items, be supportive of other females and not be in magazines/media but know you are still successful. I feel like she represents the "other" type of female, which really needs to be shown to inspire others.

Karren drops gem after gem. Ambition is that spark, that fire inside of you that won't let you settle for anything other than what you think you deserve and want. Ambition creeps up on you slowly when you realise you are good at something. Gut instinct comes from all the experiences you have had in your career. Listen to people. Never confuse leadership with management. Have a lot of fun. The ability to say no. She didn't say this but I got it too - a good sense of humour.

Success has many looks: and looks different for different times in life and for different people. Success can be being someone who lives authentically to their values. Success can be managing crippling anxiety. Success can be helping others. Maybe right now success for you could be getting through the day and to keep going through a period of feeling lost. I think your strategy (reminding yourself you're on your own path) sounds fab.

The thing is, your family needs to be supportive and help you. If you wanna have a child, the father of that child should be evolved and the responsibility shouldn't be all on you. He needs to change diapers, he needs to do house chores too. The responsibilities in the house should be on everyone living in that house, not just on the wife. He needs to be involved and it shouldn't be fully on you. Otherwise, not having a husband and family is better

Another great interview 👏🏾 I love that she talked about core values which I feel are very important for an individual to have, I talk a lot about this to my son and daughter (she’s 8 yet will understand as she gets older ) it just gives you a focus and you can always go back to it refresh where you are at in you life. I wish my previous employers would listen how she spoke about her team and staff… when you have a happy team they work better for you! Leader 🙌🏾 Her relationship is similar to mine and love that she said about wanting to be with each other and not needing… until you have this people will think your relationship is strange 😂 yet it’s the best place to be in… I’ve spoken a lot so to end it on her lines of “Pick what you want to do before it picks you” & “ live once well” loved them lines. Well done 👏🏾🙌🏾

I love Steven in these Pod casts, he is such a brilliant businessman, but knows so little / is constantly learning about himself. I can see the awkwardness in him and the want to learn and grow as a man. Its actually quite beautiful, to see such a confident guy, being somewhat insecure, but constantly looking for answers and change in himself. I honestly think the want for him to always get people on here who will explain him to himself makes this podcast so interesting..

WOW, what an episode! So, so interesting to hear Karren's journey from the beginning (I didn't know much about her, other than The Apprentice and West Ham before this). She stole my heart when she talked about kicking down a door, but vowed to keep it as wide open as she could for others ❤️ I live over the road from West Ham and now I kinda wanna work there haha! Thanks for another great episode! x

A very inspiring woman who has achieved so much through hard work and determination. Have watched her on The Apprentice for many years and it was good to get an insight into the real Karen Brady.

This was a very insightful and motivating episode, especially for me as a young woman starting out in my career. I would love to see a podcast with Sara Davies (another extremely inspiring and genuine woman) next!

Hey Charlie, we surely need more examples o females who are operating at the highest level t help and make you more confident about yourself. Like how does it feel to be a female in this huge world where you are being constantly challenged by the alpha males? Hope you can get back to me, it would really help us understand more females out there and hopefully help more people in your current situtation
