Another one! I’m moving my studio into my place so I’m still experimenting with my set up. I have a lot of ideas that are gonna take some time to put into place.
I am dyeing an off white Kastaplast SVEA. I spun it beforehand and masked the outer rim with white Elmer’s glue. Doing this allows me to spin a very clean dye to help everything pop!
Dyes:
Prochem bright blue, cool black
Idye pink, violet, turquoise,
Spike it chartreuse
I am laying the bed out a little differently then I normally do. I wanted to experiment a little bit and see what happens.
I am using a 1/4” airline tubing as a straw to push around the dye. I use a can of air meant for electronics to clear the straw from any condensation as it builds up. I believe the moisture creates white spots on the dye.
