I love her style of presentation. She did justice to the topic.... I am launching straight away. My partner and I have waited for too long to perfect our chatbot while the web platform already works perfectly.
I read it as "laugh again and again". Nevertheless, it would be good idea for YC to actually talk to solo startup founder failures and the emotional rollercoaster mess that they have been through.
Awesome talk! This reminds of the Airbnb story where Brian has said that they also launched multiple times in their early days. 😂 This really changes my perspective, thanks.

I learnt What to know about launching. Think about launching as something you can continually do. Types of launches to do while on start up school. °silent launch °friends/family launch °strangers launch °online communities. Don't use marketing langage when talking to a community, be simple about it. °Request for access(viral element) °social media/bloggers °pre order campaign You should build your own community too E.g having an email list.
Please, Y Combinator - install lavaliers or headsets on your speakers so we actually hear what these people are saying even when their gestures whirl microphones away from their mouths. :)
1. No need months, just launch even no one cares. 2. Why launch continously? - test market and see hiw user respond Type of Launch. 1. No marketing languange Just introduce company ( what are u building, for who, and why? ) 6. Pre-order campaign 7. New feature/product 8. Build ur own community!!!
How would you address the fear founder may have that someone will still the idea? Is this something they should worry about? I love the videos you guys post!
Well. I'm a writer and a founder. And I had undergone a devastating experience in 10th grade when my own friend snatched my answer sheet during mathematics exam to copy. BTW it was mass copying and my answer-sheet was roaming around the entire classroom. Having faced such experience it's hard for me to share my ideas and my stories or articles but now I do. I haven't overcome the fear fully but I do share my ideas and what I want. I trust the universe and it works out for me. Also, can you copy MJ Escher or lLeda of Leonardo Da Vinci. Never. Impossible. It's impossible to copy them.
I keep hearing launch with a landing page and just spread the word, this is all good, but how do guard against or even know that someone won't see what you are working on and it's creating a buzz, then go ahead to build faster than you?
Launching is a form of communication what you present. We present our thoughts to one person. Assesses the relevance-effect, contents, way of presentation, intents, structure etc... Correct it, and represent to another person.
khouse, feel your pain. But most accelerators are cater to this so call blitz scaling B2C eCommerce audiences. It is hard for most people, organizations, accelerators to understand the unique challenges and the business model regulated industry is in. Good luck to whatever you are working on.
