Hey, we're good at what we do. She doesn't do stand-up, so of course she's better off-the-cuff. But this wasn't bad by any measure. Her timing was good, and if you don't have that in standup (or any comedy really), then nothing else matters. If she had an opportunity to do more standup, she'd no doubt get better at it.

I enjoy her comments on the show a great deal from time to time. I like how her mind works on certain topics, she comes at it a lot of times in the end like I would, but attacks it a different way in her mind. Sometimes in doing so she makes me think of it even a third way which is cool.

@@Creshex8 I think practice makes perfect ( aging myself with that comment) timing is extremely hard in stand up or even in movies that are comedies , I think it’s harder then drama , so I am sure he has improved , I love kat . Love Kat! I'm a performing musician and I can vouch that trying to do stand up is 1000x more difficult! Being funny, on-demand is one of the greatest skills one can possess. It comes easier for some, and is hard earned by most who are successful at it. I think Kat has all the potential in the world to pursue it if she chooses to. Great job!

@@xPandaaaah For me it's Jamie Lissow at the moment. That guy is brilliant when he's on the show. Lewis Black used to make me laugh a lot about 10 years ago, but since then he got liberal, which actually made him somewhat more boring to me. Norm MacDonald is/will always be the benchmark for me. Joe Devito is a long-time comedian, and you can even catch one of his specials on Dry Bar. If you ever come across anything from Kate McCutchie (not sure on the spelling there), take a break and watch her; she's a riot, especially those times she was on the Conan O'Brien show.

Gutfeld is a genius. He staffs his show with really funny stand-up comedians (Jimmy Failla, Jamie Lissow, Tom Shillue, Joe Machi, Joe DeVito) and smart pretty women (Kat Timpf and every woman who works at Fox). That's why he's #1 in his slot.

Standing up in front of people - it doesn't matter of it's 10 or 10,000 - and doing standup is extremely difficult to do. You have to have near perfect timing, be able to read the audience, portray confidence, and so on... That said, she might not have put on the most hilarious show of all time, but i give her a ton of credit, and thought it was pretty funny.

Okay, I actually have a "friend' on facebook who posts exactly like Kat described. "Here I am alone again, I guess I should be used to it..because no one really cares about me." A mutual friend throws a little party with Karaoke at his house. I think to myself... "I hope he invites her so she won't feel so alone." She is invited, she arrives and then sits somewhere oddly separated off from the group. She then proceeds to cry violently during karaoke, when she refuses to sing because "It's all like some kind of competition, it's LIKE A CONTEEEEEEEST, Everyone is better than meeeeeeeee". I mean full blown melodrama hysterics. I'm talking unbelievably uncomfortable, I can't believe how embarrassed I am for you, type of hysterics. Now I am left wondering... Are there really that many people on facebook who fit this EXACT profile, or do Kat and I actually know the same person?

Since Facebook, we have had less one on one interaction, depression from feeling left out of all those Kraze fun parties that U aren't invited to, looking into the mirror & saying U are ugly & U suck, feeling old, unloved, & ALONE.. YES THERE ARE MORE THAN U THINK THAT FEELS THIS WAY.

Fair assessment. I did laugh, which is becoming unusual with comedians these days. The hair bit was hilarious. The Facebook material was a bit "yeah, everyone's been here." IMO, she kind of should do the thing where she takes political/social stories and ties them into her life/dating observations. Plays to her strengths.

Great work, Kat! I have to do the class show for my stand up comedy class in a couple of weeks, and you have inspired me. I love how you took your time with the jokes and acted everything out with funny voices. A lot of comedians just rush through their jokes and don’t take the time to act out characters. I definitely want to do what you did.

Kat the comic, last week Emily was discussing her driving a muscle car really fast and said her passengers usually say OH GOD and Greg quips I usually get that in the back seat. A roar went up and Kat says why Emily meaning a set up for Greg to hit a home run and Tyrus says Kat they were talking before the show! Classic from all 4!

Agree. I did laugh. But yeah, some of the stuff was a bit generic. Sometimes getting specific with comedy can be a problem if the audience can't follow you. But this was not such a time. The audience is there to see them and knows them. Jokes roasting everyone around her are the jokes that would have worked best.

She's was well rehearsed and her timing was just perfect...that matters in stand up..you capture your audiences attention right away and then you deliver your one liners without let up..it helps too when you write your own material..most audiences love to hear life stories about yourself..I would go see her live at a comedy club any time..great job Kat

*A lot of this has to do with what people are expecting. People come to a Gutfeld taping and you toss up a stand up comedian and the audience has to switch hats. It has more to do with that than anything else. When people pay to get into a comedy club they already paid their money to laugh at stand up comedy.*
