He really did. Like I can't remember whether luffy says something about doffys haki, but I do remember the very first time he clashed against katakuris haki, he blatantly says that it's really hard. Like a normal person punching a brick wall.

Let's break things down a bit shall we. 1.The entirety of Dressrosa took a single 24 hours, with The fight against Doflamingo taking roughly a little over 1-2 hours tops. 2. Doflamingo couldn't handle gear 4th luffy at all, and was constantly speed blitzed and sent flying by Luffy. Even with his awakening active, he still fell short once Luffy went back into gear 4th. 3. Cracker took 11 hours to defeat with help from Nami as well as effortlessly held off gear 4th bound man. (things already not looking good for Doffy here.) 4. Katakuri's fight took several hours, and several retreats to recover for Luffy. 5. Katakuri effortlessly not only kept up but surpassed Luffy, and handled bound man with ease. 6. Luffy needed to pull out an additional form of gear 4th based in speed, and Katakuri adapted and matched it incredibly fast. (and the biggest reason) 7. Katakuri did not lose the fight to Luffy, he gave up. Luffy and Katakuri both went down after their final attacks. Katakuri got up first, and if not for the respect for Luffy's tenacity and will, gained over the fight, could have easily killed Luffy who was still down for several minutes. Conclusion: Dloflamingo is not even close to as strong as Katakuri.
completely true. One note though, Luffy gets stronger after breaking his limits in a fight, so the luffy that fights Katakuri is several notches stronger than the luffy who like 3 shot doflamingo. Katakuri destroys doffy in under a minute tops. Cracker is sent after luffy KNOWING that luffy beat doflamingo, and is confident he can beat someone who beat doflamingo. That is to say, CRACKER could take doffy down in minutes most likely. Katakuri likely one shots doffy, its not even a fair fight. not even close.
If Oda still wants to draw One Piece stuff after he finishes the series, he could do "what if" fights between characters that might never fight in the actual story.
Based on how huge and well written One Piece is. Oda can do so many stuff. Not even what ifs. Considering how casually Donflamingo got destroyed by Luffy in gear 4 and how outclassed Luffy was during his fight with Katakuri I think it’s extremely obvious who will win.

That's also ignoring the fact that Katakuri impaled himself in the fucking stomach in what would have almost definitely been a mortal wound for most people, and unlike Doffy who was able to stitch himself up in a way that allowed him to keep fighting Katakuri just tanked that damage directly.

Not sure I agree on the armament haki for Doffy argument. Here’s why: When Luffy clashed with Katakuri armament fist vs armament fist his hands actually stung & throbbed in pain. Clashing fist to fist with Doffy never produced a similar result.

In addition, Doflimgo was tired from having to fight Trafalgar Law, Sanji, Vice Admiral fujitora, and Luffy all in one day. In addition to this too, Doflimingo had to mantain the Birdcage around the entire country so no one could escape, and this definitely took energy to maintain. At full power, Doflimingo with his awakened devil druit would be stronger than or equal to Katakuri. If doffy were to fight Katakuri, he would most likely win. The only edge Katakuri has is his future vision, but Doffy could likely overcome it by using his awakened devil fruit.
It would all depend if they had prep time or not. If they did, Doflamingo could easily use trickery and manipulation in his strategy against Katakuri. Katakuri probably wouldn't since he's more honorable in a fight
In terms of character I like Doffy more, but in a fight there's really no contest. Some people may want to make this more complicated than it really is, but it isn't. Excuses aside, Doflamingo was utterly powerless against Gear Frouth. Thanks to his awakening (and a lot of PIS), he managed to hold out until it ran out, but he was 100% unable to fight back against it. While Katakuri on the other hand, could fight evenly with Gear Fourth in every form. The difference is pretty damn big. Imo the only aspect where Doflamingo is better than Katakuri is endurance/durability, but since Boundman is faster than Doflamingo, Snakeman is faster than Boundman, and Katakuri could keep up and dodge Snakeman, then there is NO WAY Doflamingo can hope to touch Katakuri at all. So yeah, I think its pretty clear Katakuri takes it handily.
I Agree , katakuri doesn't just fight equally with BounceMan , katakuri defeats him , in SnakeMan Luffy has a chance since AttackSpeed , but in terms of Destructive power , BounceMan is stronger than SnakeMan , in speed SnakeMan better , and Luffy for me didn't really beat Katakuri , idk i kinda forgot the full details on that fight , also since Gear 5 coming , luffy will defeat Kaido(not alone unfortunately)

@@specimen98foxy91 maybe but I doubt it, like tekking said if doflamingos strings can cut through his mochi which they will because his strings can cut through anything then haki coated strings would slice his actual body and haki nullifies the devil fruit so if katakuri gets sliced with a haki string he's dead he's paramecia not logia and even if he was logia and still got sliced with haki string it will still damage his real body and would cancel out the DF ability. Just like when vergo was able to grab smoker in smoke form by using haki on his hands then he just grabbed the smoke and any damage done goes to his real body. Here's another example katakuri stabbed himself with his trident and couldn't heal that injury...when luffy was punching katakuri with haki it was landing and hurting katakuri but luffy can't cut katakuri where as doflamingo can. Doflamingo is more dangerous match up for katakuri than luffy because doffy can pierce katakuri and slice him with haki strings. And yes it's possible because he got stabbed with the trident and couldn't heal that injury, luffys punches were doing damage so will doflamingo's strings
Katakuri's armament would stomp Doffy's. Luffy couldnt even clash with Katakuri without hurting himself. Even in gear 4th snakeman he hurt his own fist clashing with Katakuri
That is totally false lol. Luffy and Katakuri were always equal, until Katakuri used his Power Mochi, which is not just a physical attack, but he adds his DF power to make his fist bigger and with a shape that helps him more. So that aint a fair comparison LOL.

The point if the whole fight was that Katakuri could do anything Luffy did just better. It was that Luffy just endured longer. Katakuri lost psychologicly and in the end let himself fall on his back for the first time because he respected Luffy that much. Luffy also respected him by placing that hat on his mouth. Fight was all about respect.

IMO doffy probably hasn't fought anyone stronger than him for a long time. He has the family to do that for him and besides who would fight someone who has connections with CP0 and Kaido. Meanwhile katakuri has probably fought King (we know this from the scared reaction of perospero in wano) and other strong people in the new world. In other words, doffy is rusty while katakuri never had any downtime.
Katakuri would win because be the whole reason he lost to Luffy because he choose to loose. He lost the philosophical battle and then laid on his back. Luffy beat Doffy through sheer power, Katakuri chose to stop fighting.
well, do not forget that doffy had to use a lot of his power keeping up the Birdcage (no one could stop the birdcage, so I am sure if doffy fought luffy in an 1v1 fight, he would have beaten luffy)
He didn’t 100% choose to lose, he kind of just came to peace with himself and didn’t push himself to defeat Luffy like he could have. He really just let it come down to a final clash with Luffy instead of ending it on the spot while Luffy was heavily injured. Even after using Gear 4th, Doflamingo was about to kill Luffy if he didn’t get outside help after his time ran out. Doflamingo was in the position to kill both Luffy and Law at the *same* time and really only lost because it was a 2v1 and Law got the Gamma Knife hit on him (which was fatal to most people). Katakuri’s logia-esque mochi ability kind of negates Doflamingo’s string cutting. Especially with his future haki.
Don’t forget katauri has Better observation Better conquers Even armament And I think doffy has less of a devil fruit experience but you can say he has more I won’t blame you just say there the same
Nikolas Acosta You are the type of guy to say it was plot, he didnt choose to stop fighting. That strongest attack of Katakuri’s was clearly equal to Luffy’s black mamba. He clearly has lower endurance than doffy and couldn’t take more than a couple g4 hits. Luffy exausted him and also challenged his whole demeaner, and the fight was more psychological then physical. That’s why luffy won. He won fair and square.

I think Katakuri would win but it would not be a easy fight for Katakuri. Keep in mind guys Doflamingo underestimate Luffy and didn't go full out until end where he showed Luffy his true power with devil fruit awakening. Also keep in mind Doflamingo was injured a lot by Law's Gamma Knife attack. I think Doflamingo would against a sweet commander vs the left hand of Big Mom Katakuri go full full out not like vs Luffy.
From what I remember about how Katakuri's power was explained to work, It's essentially a logia. The bit with him turning into crazy shapes to avoid attacks was that it was his answer to avoiding haki-infused attacks since his logia-like body wouldn't matter if he tried to tank it. So he used his future sight to make it seem like his logia was still in effect by only shifting his mass the bare minimum amount to avoid attacks.
Katakuri's armament and observational haki at the time were stronger than Luffy's. Luffy hurt his hands punching Katakuri's armament. Doffy failed to deflect Luffy culverin attack with his overheat attack. Doffy for sure has weaker armament than Katakuri. And if he can dodge snakeman and counter attack so fluidly. Doffy's speed would be nothing.
You can make a series out of this topic. Hypothetical fights between fighters, hell even give power ups to previous villains and compare them to new ones.
The biggest difference between special paramecia and logia is that even without applying haki an attack that katakuri wasn't aware of it could hit and potentially injure him.
yes but theres also an advantage, if katakuri was aware of it (which he almost always is with his observation haki except when hes distracted) then even haki attacks wont work

Doflamingo was kicked several time by Sanji's strongest attack thus far. He tanked it. It was hit by a point blank Red Hawk, and had his organs microwaved
I think if two awakened users change their environment, it would kinda be first come first serve. Once you change the environment it’s completely under the users control so I just find it hard to think that someone else could just nope that. Unless they were significantly stonger, but even then it’s borderline negating the devil fruit

Katakuri could just make wings out of mochi! Why not? He can make multiple arms so, why not wings and arms? He had no reason to in his fight with luffy. But I imagine after having his devil fruit for so long he would find a way to either fly, or easily deal with those that can fly themselves.
But remember that Doflamingo took on both Luffy AND Law at the same time and he managed to survive long enough to outlast Gear 4 the first time around. If it wasn't for Luffy's friends and Law, Doflamingo would've beaten Luffy.
Glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks of this and thought it out haha. Would be such a cool fight considering they're the two most advanced devil fruit users we've seen thus far in the series

Katakuri solos Doffy, his armament literally defeated Luffy's armament, something that Doffy couldn't do, and he can literally see the future to avoid Doffy's attacks, Luffy had to go for Snake Man for full on speed to even have a change, Doffy lost to Bound Man, a way slower version than Snake Man. Katakuri cleans Doffy.

For some reason I feel like Katakuri's mental game/state of mind is just suited better to this fight. Both because I feel like being one of Big Moms kids requires that you have to be strong enough to survive MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY, and Doffy has a super tough childhood too and hes scrapping with a lot of bad dudes, but it seems like Kata has been doing whatever it takes to be the scariest SOB in the family so that no one looks at him negatively again, that just has to be one heck of a process. Doffy seems to love using his overwhelming strength and unpredictability to throw his opponents off balance and then just go super hard at them until he finishes them. But Kata seems like he has stronger/more developed armament Haki. In addition to be able to be more flexible and adapt his body in more situations seems like Kata just has more options. So if they are both similar in straight destructive power, I am going to want to put my money on the guy who has more options, and can adapt to the situation more.
I always saw Katakuri as Doflamingo+, firstly they're both tall. And secondly, I assumed the point of Katakuri was to show Doflamingo was not a oddity in the New World and that most people fight at that level.

Special Paramecia: Paramecia's that when awoken instead of giving the user enhanced abilities it instead inherits the properties of logia. A rare occurence since not many awaken their devil fruit but still a possibility. This could easily explain it
It's not to do with awakening I think. Let's put it simply. Luffy is rubber but cannot produce it. Doffy can produce string, but can't turn into it. What's the difference between these 2 and Katakuri? Katakuri can produce mochi *and* become mochi. In other words he's the only paramecia with 2 abilities. Every other paramecia user's abilities are extensions of their main, basic ability

No it was explained how katakuri could dodge attacks like logia.he just reforms his body as he wants and his body can be in any shape and with his observation haki he can see future so he reforms his body before the attack hit him.

While I agree on most points you made, i just want to point out that Luffy didn't really say anything about doffys armament haki, but the very first time he clashed against katakuris haki, he blatantly says something along the lines of, "oh shit, this is hard". So while katakuri didn't focus his training on armament haki, it's still extremely powerful(probably a natural super talent in all states of haki, like Luffy) . But, I do agree attack type would give a slight advantage to doffy. Very slight, but still an advantage. Good video mate
Katakuri just gave the W to Luffy intentionally, he didn't pass out or something. It's just that Katakuri somehow started to like Luffy during their fight.
Doflamingo was injured gravely. His friggin organs were all ruptured LoL. He had to maintain the integrity of his body, maintain the bird cage and fight not only Luffy but also Law and all the gladiators. Dolfamingo had the complete edge and Luffy wouldve been murdered quick if not for extreme outside assistance. Whereas Katakuri had him for hours and couldnt put him down. No contest.

Meanwhile, Doflamingo could find Luffy a lot because he was both gunning straight for him and when he's running away, such as when he was saved, there was a huge fucking crowd of people protecting him. His organs weren't really ruptured, more so cut into pieces though by the power of bullshit he stitched them all together.. somehow. And the Bird Cage was never shown to be taxing on his body, not all devil fruits have some sort of tax of using a strong devil fruit. An example of this would be someone like Katakuri or Fujitora, Fujitora can literally summon meteors if he wanted to and Katakuri can use Mochi Rainfall or Buzz Cut Mochi whenever he wants to. People often forget that most devil fruits have weaknesses more so aligned to certain elemental drawbacks or just no weaknesses at all.

Doflamingo did the same and was on the losing side, but the difference here is that Doflamingo got his organs blasted by Law, and that helped Luffy land effective hits for a short amount of time before Doflamingo gradually increased his vitality as the fight progressed. In chapter 781, Luffy could easily stop a kick from Doflamingo, in 782, Luffy could put up a strong resistance and damage Doflamingo, though Doffy still had an edge thanks to his abilities. In chapter 783, Doflamingo gradually regained some of his former power and was shown easily capable of overpowering Luffy--even hurting him without using Haki. Luffy couldn't even hurt Doflamingo with Gear 2nd anymore at that point, and Doflamingo was STILL weakened. Do not forget that Doflamingo previously outmatched Luffy in very short skirmishes and easily overpowered him--even one-shotting him on a couple occasions (Chapters 745, 760 and 780). It's clear that his performance was reduced greatly as a result of the injuries inflicted by Law. Luffy could not even land a single strike on Doflamingo unless Law assisted him. Think of what would have happened if Doflamingo fought Luffy 1 on 1 from the start. Like if Trebol and Law went somewhere else to fight, Bellamy wasn't there, and Luffy met with Doffy in the Palace like in Chapter 759. It would have been a very one-sided affair. Doflamingo using Black-knight and attacking Luffy alongside it would have made it impossible for Luffy to have any chance at hitting Doffy--and even if he did, he would inflict no damage unless he got lucky and landed his Red-Hawk. Luffy would have been injured while Doflamingo would be unscathed by the time Luffy used Gear 4th, and the fight would have gone to Doflamingo--especially if he was still able to fight in canon events.

Tekking another reason katakurie‘s fruit is a special paramisia is because he’s body don’t react to attack like a logia. He explains that when his body was reforming to doge attacks he was actually using observation haki to sense where the attacks were going to hit and he reformed his body so it looked like it worked like a logia
@@ka-boom2083 if you know the attack is coming, your body automatically turns into your element before you get hit, unless your elements is more tangible, or the attack is made of Haki. That is the whole reason haki is so affective against inexperienced logia users. They think that every attack will pass straight through them and they will never get hit, as long as they know the attack is coming.

I think Doffy and Crocodile have way to much ego to get along. But we might see them interact. Crocodile is rebuilding Baroque Works let's be honest Impel down won't hold Doffy and he won't let himself miss the thrown wars.
Exactly why it would all depend on whether or not these characters would get prep time before the fight. If they did, Doflamingo could definitely have a significant chance of winning

I would still say Katakuri would win but Doffy is such a cunning man, it would definitely be a tough fight for Katakuri, especially when they're both awakened paramecia
personally, I actually prefered katakuri's introduction as is. the fact that he essentially showed up out of nowhere and took the scene by a storm, becoming everyone's favorite, really went to build his character. Just as everyone inverse are smitten by katakuri the moment he shows up and he becomes the talk of the day, the entire fandom became smitten by him and he became the talk of the day, so his introduction, in a way, was a meta-introduction of a sort. moreover, considering that his character have two main layers, the "badass" layer and the "humane" layer, I think it served greatly for him that we were introduced in such a quick manner to his badass persona, and then slowly building him up as more then just a one note villain, but an actual character.
@@elyacaphyisrael2108 Well you can Hate On Doffy whatever doesnt change the fact that Katakuri and Doffy are the most popular ''Antagonist''/Villain in the Series Katakuri is overall Stronger yes good for him but One Piece never was about the Fights its about the Story and the Characters and Thats were Doffy beats Katakuri hands down far more polished and better written Character well given hes actually a proper Main Villain

How's this actually a fight? Katakuri 🍩 slays Doflamingo 🃏 . Doffy 🃏 vs Cracker 🥨 To be honest it would make more sense for Doflamingo 🃏 to fight some like Charlotte Cracker 🥨 who I believe would still beat Doflamingo, However I don't believe I don't believe they're too far apart from each other
So I subscribed for Duelist of the Roses, but then I saw you do One Piece discussions with spoiler thumbnails. A year and a half later I've watched all of One Piece and it feels good to be back in the Tekking Gang
