I could weep for the music industry - how many artists like her are there out there, who will never come to light because they aren't disposable pop wannabe's which is all the industry seems to want these days? She is a rare, rare talent.
I really love that video and the Truth Be Told it made me cry and I don’t mind admitting it. It was that powerful and thought provoking.. what a fantastic performer Kate is.
Wow ! That’s cute ! What did she write ? I was in love with her when I was like 14 years old, I’m 55 now. Her voice is still great, she is one of the few singers who kept their ability to sing unlike many old glories
It’s almost as if she didn’t think that people liked her enough to remember her songs. When the crowd chipped in with some backing vocals, she was visibly touched and you could see her body language change. So charming and so modest.
I would die a happy man if I got to see this live. Sitting on my bed in Wellington with now deceased friends singing along. I was still so depressed at 20 after primary and secondary school. But singing “I just know that something good in gonna happen” made it feel like it would get better. It did. Thanks Kate. And vale, Neil Costello, and your beautiful voice to sing with.
@@Blacklamass sad that she got older? On that stage is the same Kate as she always was. She is every age and the age she was then. There is no one.. no one...that doesn't age. You included. I am glad she's gotten older, glad she's still living the life she has chosen. Kate's beautiful at any age.
I watch this and it makes me so emotional. I grew up on the South Coast of England in the 80’s. We were a small group of lads from the local Grammar School and only two of us liked Kate, in fact we worshipped her and her music. It’s funny seeing the comments when I remember Kate being parodied on the TV for Wuthering Heights, just because she was so different. My friend and I were mesmerised by her genius and creativity. Her music is timeless. It still touches my soul today and transports me back over 40 years.
Given how electric the ending of this song is, it's amazing to think this tour was probably the first time she's ever heard the crowd sing back at her to Cloudbusting. Goosebumps when the backing vocals do kick in.
@@shpeen8835 Yeah. Totally agree. She was very flattered at the renewed success of Running Up That Hill but apart from a radio interview, didn't do a thing to promote it. Apparently it made her 6m in royalties. Not that she's money orientated but I'm sure she used it for non-selfish means which we will never learn about.
Kate Bush is so magical and enchanting. She is like a lady who lives in a forest surrounded by plants, animals and magical creatures. Her music always makes me feel better. Before the Dawn was the most beautiful experience i've ever seen. I wish i could have seen it live 😢
Oh my goodness. Just landed on this by accident. Absolutely incredible. So incredible to hear her live after all these years. Her voice is so powerful. The first lines I think I stopped breathing.

As a long time Kate Bush fan, I'm astounded at the clarity, tone and strength of her voice - like the very first time I ever heard her magical music. I'm SO jealous of the attendees of this show. I'm just bowled over, amazed- I love this lady!
I don't know, if I had the means at the time, if I would have gone. If it was bad, it would be like killing the father. If good as it was supposed to be, it would have driven me to some dark time, when her music basically saved my life (literally), and I'm afraid I'd have gone the equivalent of a Stendhal syndrome… Gee, even that vids makes me cry like a bloody baby…
Lucky enough to attend, and it was absolutely stunning. No human has a right to sound that good live after 35 years away...except Kate Bush. She is, finally, being put firmly upon the lofty pedestal that is her rightful place. No disrespect to other notable performers of today, but she is so much more than a singer, vocalist what have you. She is an artist, who excels in creativity, originality and sheer brilliance.

I was at one of these gigs , I was offered £1000 for my ticket. I declined , and it was the best live performance I have ever seen in my life. I wish she would release the DVD , but her being self image of her weight has stopped it being a reality. Such a shame , she is amazing ! So beautiful ❤❤❤❤
Why do you say that she has body issues? Did she say that somewhere, or are you just assuming? She looked FABULOUS in her outfit, and the way it swayed with her just added to the performance. I have to say, I'm more than a little jealous of you for having seen her live. I'm sure it'll be one of your favorite memories!
I agree she was fine , Hearts lead singer had the same problem, and refused to be in full light for some of her music videos. I cant remember where I read it, but I was gutted as I wanted it so bad on DVD. It was also cited thats the reason she said no phones at the shows. Everyone knows shes not going to be the dainty ballet / expressive Dancer when she was a kid. I seem to recall she had 2 seats removed to have it filmed. My guess would be that , when shes passed on , it will be released then. You can get the audio on a double disc… but not the show. 😢
Doesn't really make sense that, if she was that bothered about it surely she would have done something about it before the show, there was plenty of time... Nothing wrong with putting a bit of timber on, she is who she is.
@@sueweatherby3729 Yeah, I am also curious if she actually stated that was the reason. I do know she is a perfectionist and there could have been many other variables that she just did not want to undertake. Though I will say, the topic points to the lack of postive archtypes.for older women. The only thing we have is the crone/witch....that just isn't how it is. KB here is an example of transcending all of that and we see her power and how beloved she is as an artist.
When I flew to London (by way of Norway) from NYC in 2014, it was all I could do to resist the temptation to read all of the reviews and spoilers before attending my (2) shows at the Hammersmith Apollo. I don't say this often, but I was utterly BLOWN AWAY by Kate and the magically complex and dark tapestry she wove that left us spellbound throughout the 3-hour show. I have seen literally hundreds of concerts over the past 40 years by all of the legends/icons, and Kate is securely at #1. An experience I will never forget as long as I live.
It was virtually impossible to get tickets to this gig… I was born 87 so obviously couldn’t go to her earlier gigs so I was genuinely devastated I couldn’t get a ticket.
I was there on one of the nights they were filming for the DVD that never materialised. I think Kate is such a perfectionist that the footage wasn’t up to her standards. It was a life changing experience to see her live. The audience interaction was amazing, she seemed genuinely flattered that we were all there to see her.
You are so very lucky to have been able to see Kate's live performance. I have been a fan since first seeing her on SNL 45 tears ago this Dec 9. I fully agree, she is indeed life changing.
Hope that Kate will allow the release on DVD and bluray, loved her music since A Kick inside, through to Aerial. Such a great artist and talent, please Kate theres a lot of us out here who would love to see your concert, got the CD set but would to watch the show you put on.

This is Kate’s singing voice in 2014?! WOW! Her voice has barely aged and her talent is astronomical. This is my favorite song of hers after Running Up That Hill. I love how unique, emotional, and euphoria-inducing her songs are. She is beyond phenomenal ❤❤❤
She is a bit darker, and the super high notes are not there anymore. There is also no more such vocal gymnastics which she did when young. But she gained even more in the expression department.
been listening to this amazing lady since the 70s. Never tire of her work. For a young teenager living in a cultural bubble in French Canada, she showed me there was more then just pop music, a greater world out there. there is a lot of love here.
Likewise been listening since the 70's. There is another amazing singer from Ukraine who I think is the modern equivalent of Kate Bush. Not many people have brought me to tears simply by singing, only Kate & Onuka. (Nata Zyzhchenko) she did tour Canada in 2019 & 2022.
She seems to be enjoying it. I saw her at the Apollo in Manchester decades ago. It's a shame she was so nervous about performing live it's taken her so long to go back on stage. She has nothing to fear. Magical songs from a wonderful artist.
Found this by magnificent accident. Her performance was exquisite, made all the more charming by an ever-so-slightly…self conscious… stage presence. The woman never fails to move me.

Maybe the most brilliant concert I’ve ever missed. It seemed that five minutes after ticket sale opened I already was five minutes too late 😢. I so love her music!
It must have been astounding for her son to have been on stage with her and to watch her perform. The fans had at least seen that in the early days but this was probably his first experience.
RIP Donald Sutherland who played the father (Wilhelm Reich) in the video of this song. Such a beautiful song. I had never heard it until I began searching after Sutherland passed away, and it was mentioned in a tiny blurb. I went to find the video and do not regret coming across it whatsoever. Beautiful!
This is probably my most favourite album of all time. It is so disappointing that there was no official video of the serial of concerts she did at the time. Much gratitude for posting this.
Same here, queued up at 7 am on the last day to get a return from the box office, at 6.45pm they called me over to get my golden ticket, amazing night.
When I started working with " Special Needs" clients my first job was working with three young autistic kids. The young girl would always say, " I am the happiest person in the world!" And because of her conviction there was no doubt in my mind that she indeed was. Oh how we fear our power. It is a scary place, this world we have chiseled out for ourselves. Thanks Kate for putting it on the line and delivering this message of self empowerment! Thank-You.

The musical director/band leader who put this together should be highly applauded - Brilliantly orchestrated and then the band is totally in the pocket and tight - this combined with her incredible lyrics and heartfelt performance makes this a master performance - oh, and the audience were fantastic !
Well, the bass player is 77 year old Tony fucking Levin, literally considered a GOD by fellow bassists. He’s from King Crimson and for decades part of Peter Gabriel’s back up band.
i suspect the praise needs to go to Kate, judging by this audio 'Just make it sound like the record' must of been the brief for the MD, which when youve got the worlds best players to hand is probly a lot easier than putting any of your own spin/interpretation on it.
@@garrickmusic Thanks for the info - makes total sense. I don't know much about the British session musician scene but my guess was that the band is probably a whose who of top players. I know she has had a long association with David Gilmour but I can't spot him on stage.

Hearing Kate is like re-experiencing every emotion you’ve felt over your adult life… she is ever present and has been a part of my life all the way from the mid 80’s to now. How amazing to relive this. I was lucky to be there on the opening night and it is a night I will never forget. The best concert I have ever attended and I've seen most people.
Our muse's greatest feature - her smile - is always magnetic. Just can't help but beam with happiness seeing her on the stage doing what she does best - giving her all to the audience. Kudoes to the audience for being spot on with the timing at the end.
I was there and it was such a fantastic show. More theatre than concert, though this song was the encore and performed straight without theatrics. Along with Joni Mitchell, Kate is the ultimate artist.
Omg I have not seen this until now. Her voice is so deep and rich! I'm an American who's lucky enough to realize what Kate Bush means, what she offers us, and how much influence she's had. I have tears in my eyes watching, as this is one of my all-time favorites. Every young singer & song writer now, especially women, and including people like Billie Eilish, have such a debt to this amazing woman who didn't even know she should be self-conscious or worried about misogyny.
