That one question brought down Sarah Palin. I'm sure Katie was not aware of it then but we all know it now. Of that entire interview, that is the part that I remember. That says a lot. I remember thinking, to myself, what did she (Palin) mean by that answer? What is she (Palin) talking about? Palin's answer left me bewildered.

She did say she read all of them. I think Couric went in with a bias, as with Anne Coulter. The difference was that Coulter was more articulate, had more verbal acuity; while Palin didn’t have that verbal acuity, she did seem to have some intelligent thought that she struggled to express. Katie very obviously disarmed her because Palin wasn’t prepared for the spotlight and for the searing condescension of Couric’s demeanor when she asked the questions.
