As far as I can remember, the answers from Palin were not written by the SNL staff, but taken from a original interview. The script was already finished by reality, the two actors only had to give an individual performance.

But it wasn't just nailing the writing, she also delivered a spot on impersonation of her. I still remember that bit about being able to see Russia from her porch. Tina slayed me every time she did Palin.

When Medvedev was president of Russia and on a trip to America Obama said, not knowing he was on camera with an open microphone, "just get the Russian heat off of me about the rocket shield America has been planning to build in Poland to defend Europe, because I have an election to win, and after I win the election I will do what Russia wants." !!! I personally believe that Obama may be supportive of Russia because his own mother and grand-parents were members of the Socialist Party in America during the Cold War. Very scary!
