I get teary eyed every time I watch this because it just brings back great memories of my childhood. The games, the anime, the cards. Pokemon was a big part of my childhood and I still love it to this day. This skit = nostalgia epicness!!

@rydendm Those are the badges. When you defeat a gym leader, they give a badge and those badges will get you into the Pokemon league.

@rydendm they're gym badges Ash is supposed to defeat each gym leader and as proof of his victory, they give him a badge and those badges are specific from each gym leader

@rydendm basically the video is Ash's journey to becoming a Pokémon Master. those are all the Gym leaders, and upon defeating them, you gain a Badge.
