I wanna say thank you for "Katyshighnotes" he really helped me in this video!, Follow him on instagram! I DON'T OWN THE CONTENT OF THIS VIDEO the purpose of this video is educational and entertaiment
She just needs a good vocal coach to teach her proper technique. Range and tone is already there. She obviously doesn't have issues accessing high notes even with bad technique so I can only imagine what she would sound like after learning how to support, mix and use those stylistics more effectively. Good improvement tho. She's definitely more confident and consistent which is good to see 😊
The pop industry doesn't appreciate vocal ability much so she does not have any reason to develop her vocal which is sad. In this era, the reason why she sang better is that most of the song high note are in the 4th octivate which suit her tessitura. It depends on the producer too, if they ask her to sing different technics, i geuss then she would use more head voice or falsetto. While I appreciate Max Martin's production, i can't deny through working with him, Katy has remained so many bad singing habits. She's not the only one, look at britney. There was a time Ariana's vocal got worse by working with some bad producer too. Well, i'm sure Katy's head voice was not bad, she used to learn to sing opera.
@@sameerpervez1165 omg i'd just seen that F6, it's Whistle, i asked every reliable source from the music academy in my country, Miss Perry did whistle lol
I feel like she's a lot better - and has potential to be even better - than not only the world thinks she is, but that she herself believes she is. I've heard moments of serious potential in her voice throughout her career, and she certainly has a lot more natural ability than the average singer does. She clearly has range, but her technique severely limits her consistency. She struggles and runs out of breath on basic vocal lines, but then she'll effortlessly belt and phrase Es and Fs from time to time and it's like "wait, what?" I think if she put in the work and focused more on her voice, she could be really good. She's also showcased moments of surprising vocal agility as well.
She's far more consistent than she used to be, props to her for that. But all I hear is foggy lows, strainy af belts even in the 4th octave and airy falsetto. Also pretty sure that A5 is an exclamation.
Oh wow Katy fucking belts yes I understand her technique is ridiculous but still they don't sound as bad some female vocalist that are cosine red better then her..
I always think she has very decent falsetto, just like intro of Teenage Dream..sounds sweet and mellow, and she is now definitely improved, she tends to shaky easily but if she has more control of her voice and better techniques, (and more clear head voice) she could move on superb level..Her tone is unique and the range is not limited. She is not technically great, yes while some singer like Beyoncé can support and fully belt high note like F5, but Katy extends her upper register range too, her support on C5! She is an interesting singer. Her first root was gospel and she was trying rock too. I once heard her voice on cover 'Hackensack'. I think those genres like Rock or Power Ballard are more suit to her.. With her guitar I think she could do better (not that means I don't like this era, vocally now is better than those last eras..again she improved). Her acoustic performance is calm and stable..
Her technique is not the best, but she has a beautiful tone of voice and well differentiated from the voices of the pop music market. I believe she should learn how to properly use the Mix. Her support is not one of the outspoken in comparison to other successful singers of the Phonographic Industry. I really like her Voice, I think it has great potential.
Her technique was better from 1999 to 2005. But now, it's still good. Still better than 90% of Pop singers these days. I repeat, this video does absolutely no justice to her vocal capabilities.
Supported Range Before: Bb3 - B4 Now: G#3 - C5 (C#5) Her lows have improved, I think she supported her G#3 in Firework and her A3s definitely. Her B4s too, her first C5 in California Gurls was good, but her second in E.T. was better placed, and her 4th C5 too, some of her C#5 are good and sometimes supported but not consistent. Above that all was so throaty. But she have so much potential.
@@sass_king5576 Honey... You call yourself a stan, but you yourself don't know shit about your own idol. Do you even know what "support" means? Are you a singer? A vocal coach, perhaps? I don't think so. Care to stfu?
@@sass_king5576 Sweetie. Nowadays, anyone on the Internet can become a self-proclaimed "singer". Any smart vocal coach that I have come across says otherwise. If you want, I can post the links to those live performances in which she supports that high.

I really like her mid belts, but the rest of her voice is pretty underdeveloped. She needs a coach asap
@@sass_king5576 WTF? Deluded Much? She had been working with the same vocal coach since 2011. Have you seen her vocal warm-ups for her California Dreams Tour in 2011?
Matias - Vocals She used to have consistent support on the B4s of TOTGA, I was wondering if she still supported a B4. Anyways, are her A3s really supported? They sound unsupported to me
You guys! i'm so lucky 💀 i literally posted this video yesterday and i just found she hit a new F6 on American idol (imitating Mariah's whistle tones 😂), her vocal range in this era is Eb3-A5-F6 now, 3 octaves, 1 note and 1 semitone (? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PuknlP52wkY.html at the 0:16 (I know, pretty weak but still could count i guess)
She supported a few of those C5s right? Other videos I’ve seen of her sound like that anyways. And the tour isn’t over yet, so will there be a possible updated version?
I hate her so much. She lower her larynx when hitting power notes but can’t do the same when hitting low notes. With her tone, she definitely can go lower omg
Putain Amoìs Yeah, I am girl and can hit C3 when lowering larynx. Usually I can support down to F3, but I always think lowering larynx is not good, really.
SaeHa Park how is lowering larynx not good though when hitting lows? It’s bad lowering larynx when hitting high notes, idk about them when hitting lows.
Putain Amoìs Maybe that is not that bad when lowering larynx, but I have tonsillitis and my larynx is kinda affected by it.. My throat is easily shot.. So that is why I don't like singing..
Witness era is by far.... And as a Die hard fan... Her worst full of songs with no real meaning and color. No personality just shitty songs... She going down the drain.
Kristian Wedderburn Each song has a story behind it, letting yourself be carried away by the opinion of others is not Katy's problem. the union that each song has and the concept they have is unique.
