I just find it ironic that the people who believe him, because he pretends to be a saint, are the same people who excused Trump's Access Hollywood Tape with "boys will be boys" ... so either all boys are evil and want to fuck all the times, or some boys are saints... what's your point Republicans? I agree with abstaining from sex before marriage isn't unusual but you sound very narrow-minded when it comes to the reasoning. People can still abstain based on personal reasons not just religious. Just because someone is an atheist doesn't mean they will have sex before marriage. I don't know why you brought in atheism, it has nothing to do with anything. And you are right his virginity shouldn't be a public issue but somehow it came to be and he is forced to talk about, it is sad really. But he is saying he is to make himself look like because he was a virgin he couldn't have possibly assaulted someone. You can be a virgin and still be somewhat of a predator. @@commonsense31 why do you believe it happened if all the witnesses that Ford said there were said under oath it didn't happen. Ford has changed her story and has not said a specific date. Kavanagh also has a great defense with his busy schedule including not even being in dc on the weekends during the summer. I believe Ford may have been assaulted but there is no reason to believe it was judge kavanagh.

I believe he did stay he has done some things that he regrets. Writing something in a year book is different from actual behavior. I believe they are still friend so obviously this wasn’t enough to make her quit being around him. I read into what he is saying that drinking to excess meant not being able to fulfill obligation, go to class, failing to maintain his sports regimen and things like that. Why is virginity and morals suddenly a bad thing. Maybe if more ladies would request condoms, or less “mates” and had more self respect the abortion issue would not be an issue. If we did had more parents teaching their children to maintain higher moral standard this issue would not be so highly debated and other important issues could be.

michael landers have you actually looked at his judicial record? He’s got bare minimum experience-never a prosecutor or defender ( let alone public defender) never a trial court judge. And his rulings are completely heartless. I didn’t want him before, but now even if he is innocent he’s carried on like a spoiled toddler, his public statement was crap ( writing statements for your decisions is part of the job) he snaps under pressure, and he’s intensely partisan. The judiciary needs to look at the facts and what the law says about them, in a court there are attorneys to represent each side of the case, the judge represents the law itself. He is too partial to do that. He was spouting conspiracy theories like Alex Jones about the Clintons and Soros. This was a job interview not a trial and he failed the interview. I can’t believe the republicans couldn’t find someone better than this.

#6 train going to work I feel someone behind me quivering and breathing heavy. I dont know if they're sick or what and I cant turn around the train is immovable packed. taino20 I know you're probably new to critical thinking. Maybe I'll be the first person to actually suggest it to you. Let's say you're a man at work with an impeccable track record and you've been moving up the ladder for years and you're on the verge of landing a promotion to SVP (Senior VP) and a woman goes to your boss and says, "Hey boss, you know it's been a while, too long to remember any details actually, but taino20 assaulted me at some point in the past." Let's say you happen to know that this woman has a friend who is also up for the SVP position. I assume that you would be okay if your boss came to you and said, "You've been accused of something heinous and if you don't prove that you didn't do it, I'm going to fire you." That's logical, right? Would you tell your boss that it's untrue? Or would you be a good boy and just find SOME WAY to prove your innocence, even though your accuser hasn't provided any evidence to dispute?

Mireille Davidson polygraphs are not admissible in court. Have you taken one? Because I have and I beat it. They don't tell if you're lying. They measure whether you have a physiological response to a question. If you ask a person if they are a rapist, they would understandably get angry. They're heart rate might increase and they just failed. You can control these reactions by taking deep breaths or even just pinching yourself. And if you believe what you're saying is true it isn't technically a lie. Bill Clinton famously said he didn't have sexual relations with Monica Lewinsky. Technically that was true since in his mind a blow job wasn't sexual relations. He still got impeached for perjury. Besides Kavanaugh could take and pass multiple polygraphs and half the country would still think he's lying.

I think Kavanaugh could have used some weasel words there. Because if you notice he said he never came close to sexual intercourse, but as far as I know none of the accusations mention any intercourse. Plus, there is the belief among many that you only loose your virginity once you have had intercourse. So technically everything he said could be considered to be true in those regards but in no means clears him of the allegations. This way he could say that he never lied about what he said to avoid potential trouble in that regard. Besides If he went to a Catholic school that was conservative then its a good chance that he truly does believe that he never committed any real sexual activity because he never had the magical intercourse. A clever use of mental gymnastics to have you cake and eat it to. Maybe I'm over analyzing this to much but figured Id throw those thoughts out there.

If someone accuses somebody else of wrongdoing, they have the burden of proof, to provide evidence that proves he did it. Until then he is innocent. Also, even if witnesses do come up, having material evidence from 30 years ago is much better than accusations because they aren’t as subject to change. The two other accusers have been given info that could have altered their way of thinking when remembering exactly what happened 30 years ago, while a calendar detailing everything that has happened and been stored away, only to be brought back now is much more unbiased.

So maybe he was still a virgin. Or at least when sober. Just because he was unsuccessful at sexual assault doesn't mean it didn't happen. Maybe he's a different person when he's drunk. Maybe he doesn't even remember whether or not he had sex in high school or college if he was always intoxicated. You can't possibly drink 100 kegs in high school and college without having been constantly drunk. His life is probaby one big blackout until college graduation.

I was a virgin until several years later than 20, and I find this segment hilarious, if only because I don't take any part of it even remotely seriously. Except for the bit about Kavanaugh being a liar, of course. Just - it's completely absurd to claim that his virginity has anything to do with ANY of this. Which, I believe, was likely the Daily Show's intent in exaggerating its importance in this way: it highlights how absurd it was for Kavanaugh to mention it in the first place.

Since he's gone on the record stating he was a Virgin well into adulthood... it seems to me that anyone having knowledge of that not being true should come forward. Especially since if he's lying, that shows you what type of a person he is, let alone him being appointed as a Supreme Court Judge.
