I'm sorry bro 🤣 we got insane snow here and the ranges I go out to are off road in the mountains on national forest areas so they're blocked or inaccessible. I didn't want to shoot it at an indoor range I'm not a fan of them. The other video has video of it being shot tho! Snow season is basically over and I've got better filming equipment so the next videos will have shooting in them 🙃
@@RavenRockMT that's cool, yeah I have an indoor range down the street I've never been to, I would rather shoot the 60 yards or so I have on my property!
@@ThePatriotParadox 100% agree with you and most of those indoor ranges you cant get much practice or training on. I wish I had that much space you basically have your own range! way better to train out doors
Sorry about the audio quality, this is a new channel and I will upgrade equipment as we move forward and review more obscure equipment. Thanks for understanding your boy isn't rich lmfao
If anyone's looking at this in 2023: Wing Tactical out of CA gives you the complete for $54, so no need to add multiple items to cart! And very cheap shipping with fast turnaround.
I have their linear compensators on most of my AR sporting rifles because they don’t allow evil features in my state and I don’t care for muzzle breaks. Looking forward to your impressions after shooting to see if it’s worth the price of the standard $35 Kaw. 👍
Hey man, I belived you have to get a different type of adapter that will cover a muzzle break like the type you would get from silencerco. I cant actually go look for you right now because the site is under maintinance and they are moving websites. Id check snake river armory they probably have it but if my memory is correct its a different thread adapter than the normal screw on
I am a bit confused.. I've seen linear compensators, which are empty inside, and I've seen the Witt Machine SME, which is pretty much the same as a suppressor with internal baffles, but they have a channel on the outside that makes it so it is not a "complete" baffle, and is no longer a form 1 suppressor and is completely legal. This makes me wonder about the Chinese "solvent traps". If one machines a few slots on the outside to direct gasses forward, it seems they would be the same as the Witt Machine SME, and legal. Thoughts?
It would need an ATF letter of approval, the manufacturer would have to submit it for exam and deny or approve. Since they’re located in China and not in the US theirs no way they could submit it and I’m sure 922r compliance would come into play.
I got it for my CMMG Banshee AR9. I like it quite a bit but it kept loosening up at the range. I eventually put lock tight on the threads. Something I was hoping to avoid. No big deal breaker though. Still worth it.
I haven't noticed any loosening but I only put 1000 through it. I'll make a break down video to see if we can get it to loosen and how to adjust it. If we can't open it it defeats the purpose lol
Nice I’m glad somebody posted about a CMMG banshee AR nine I just picked one up was wondering about these muzzle extenders going to have to order one for my nine and 45 banshee
@@ofr2011 Yeah it held up well, going to be running it with a WOT HRT and really put it to work in a new range toy I'll post the results. We will see how it holds up with rapid succession of fire
@@RavenRockMT Sounds good man definitely let me know how it works out at the range I just ordered two of them.for both My cmmg banshees one chambered in 45 one chambered in 9 mm.
@@ofr2011 I definitely will, putting it on a newer build 16" 5.56 with WOT trigger, i want to see how much punishment it can take before loosening or being destroyed. Gave the other build away to a veteran from ww2 working on this one now
Yeah during my work with them he informed me he will be retiring soon but they will still provide product through their ebay store via his son! That was new news in the other kvp video that came out months after this one! Glad you got the product. If they ever stop selling KVP products on their eBay site all you have to do is go to kaw Valley Precisions website select dealer locator and look at what all the shops are selling them for then select the lowest price works for just about every product for many companies!
Bought this after watching your vid - this comp works incredible on my 9mm Grand Power Stribog. I purchased 2 extra pieces for length. It’s definitely a game changer, super happy. Cheers !
KVP shoot video is up but YES it will save the shooter and anyone behind the shooter since it displaces the concussion forward instead of just an explosion! :)
I'm happy this video helped you man, I only started YT when I was looking for someone to actually show the product and couldn't find a video so I decided to do it for everyone else, and now here I am out of the depression and have a goal LETS GOOO! I digress happy to have you brother
Heads up if you want to use this with a handgun use a booster assembly pick up the silencer co Alpha piston spring and retention and a piston Went to one of their shops with the comp and they screwed it on
Sorry for the late reply ive been gathering supplies etc to really grow the channel. I actually ended up giving the "pistol" to a local WW2 vet so i didnt actually get footage shooting it, however I have ordered another one and will be putting it on a 16" Upper with a WOT trigger to see how it holds up, ill have that footage soon after we do the Occluder Sights video for the new channel sponsor
Sound is kinda janky, but hey, I had a salt and pepper shep when I was a kid a long time ago and they're the only breed I've ever had. My big withe shep girl climbs up and looks out the window with the same authority as yours. Nice, thanks for the info ! Spoil that pup rotten !
Yeah sorry about the audio in these older videos. It's when I wasn't doing RU-vid. I just uploaded off a $30 zoom camera because nobody else had a review up and I wanted to do it for others then they asked how it shot. Since then I've bought a real camera T7 Rebel and invested in DaVinci Resolve editing software to have better quality since I found this to be a fun hobby. He's definitely a good pup and a great K9 gear model
Thanks for the heads up man. I have been looking into form1ing one of these and machining a baffle stack on my lathe and mill. Would be great for .22 subs
Snake River Armory is actually sponsoring the next video on this and sent me a new one for range testing. Anything you want to know about it or me to film up? Going to stress test it and see if it carbon binds at all too
@@RavenRockMT I am trying to grow as a RU-vidr (different channel) Did they reach out to you or you to them? Did you have 761 subscribers then? Also, as for suggestions, I'd love to see you form 1 one of these for a 300 blackout (or at least the process up until "complete" so you don't have to form 1 since you would just disassemble after.
I have a bca 10.5 side charge gen 2 on cmmg mk4 lower with Franklin armory bfs3, sb pdw brace and been really needing a comp for range trips. thanks for the review man. keep up the informative and through content brotha.
Thank you Im working on getting a new camera and bought actual editing software. I also had the FA binary trigger it was a ton of fun. I actually lived in Carson city NV 2 miles from the manufactures factory and they personally installed mine. Take a look at the WOT trigger its like the binary but BETTER and i just put out a video on where to get it for $299 instead of 349.99
I like your style kd mathews my build is very similar. Waiting for my 7.5 bca side charging gen 2 to come and so I can put it on my franklin armory lower.
Definitely adds recoil, in the Idaho Tactical Supply video you can see how hard the rifle wants to jump. I usually run a Surefire Warcomp and there is noticeable recoil with KVP but manageable, follow up shots definitely require tough recoil management. I emailed KVP about this and I guess there is ported sections in the works for recoil management. It also creates a massive fireball on some shots you can also see in the ITS video.
Sorry not the Idaho tactical video . . Actually just the channel intro video shows recoil I forgot I used B-roll footage to make it and put an A2 on for the idaho tactical video to give it a fair shake
Sorry I got really busy so I never posted a video on firing it. 1000 rounds down range, never loosened on me it acted better than expected as a blast forwarding device on a 10.5" build shooting 55g 5.56. I have heard other people have issues with it loosening up on them but i did not experience this problem. Easily cleaned after the range as well. 9/10 would recommend (simply because there are better brakes out there) but for the price and function this would be a great purchase I will begin to post more videos shortly after I finish Fking with the VA
Havent taken it out yet, had a few things come up but i plan on making a video about it. However from the dimensions of it its going to act like a blast can. ill get a video up on it as soon as i can, but if you watched the whole video and pick it up from snake river armory its only $54.00 and eventually you could Form 1 it and have a modular silencer for under $300
Crush washer I'd say is personal preference just a little lube to protect threads is all I did. I suppose you could use a crushwasher if you'd like It doesn't come with one so I didn't throw one on it
Damn I didn't see this comment sorry for the delay brother, you can find their entire outer inner and length dimensions at KawValleyPrecision.com if you're thinking king of forming it for a suppressor I'd go with the 2" lengthened portion with your order as well
The Mach 3 has a recommended caliber size of .223 5.56, 300 blk and 350 legend for rifle caliber so unfortunately not, 7.62 is just a little to large for it. Pistol up to .45 for pistol caliber This question had me wondering if a good gunsmith can open it up and re thread it to fit 7.62 🤔
Snake river armory has since been disbanded the owner has decided to retire unfortunately, we are working on getting with KVP currently as well to hold some of their products
I will be heading out tomorrow to test it I will be getting front facing, side facing, torso shots of the compensator for you guys. I'll also be removing the front end cap to demonstrate the can without an end cap for you guys as well and we will see if it starts to get carbon locked which would help it not come apart IF it does. I couldn't film today due to a snow storm here in northern Montana but if it persists I'll have to push it back. I don't want to go to an indoor range because the acoustics of the building will make for an unfair review for you guys. Also I'll have an update from Snake River Armory on their site and where else they are selling them. Hope this answers your question and if there is something you are mainly wanting to see filmed let me know and I'll get footage for you Using 55gr 5.56 for the review
@@myag4341 Appreciate you being apart of the community! If you think of am angle or footage you want shot of it before tomorrow let me know and I'll film it
@@myag4341 I can actually tell you that it significantly does send the sound away from the shooter. I testfired that 10.5 before giving it away and it was significantly reduced sound for the shooter and anyone behind the shooter and that was out of a 10.5" barrel we will see hopefully tomorrow how it sounds out a 16" barrel for sure! Permitting there isn't a snow storm again 😑
Thats what im here to do, I will be testing products as well as finding deals so we arnt paying a fortune for it. Im currently looking into the Sig MCX virtus deals and secured a sponsor with occluder sights
