Still waiting on my 98 KX250 to come out of the shop he swears by next weekend LOL man I can't wait to go riding thanks for putting up the videos you and your brother definitely keeps me going classic Two Strokes you guys got great content
@@ArmathuX I got the FLU designs pro team series 4 graphics trying to restore it I got a new shock linkage kit new tires new back fender and all new graphics new chain and sprockets and primary drive chain guide when I bought it it already had a FMF burly which is a older pipe but I guess they are good for low-end kind of like the gnarly is now next I would like to get a flywheel weight cuz I do a lot of Trail and stuff
What main jet are you running? The shop manual says 175 main and 62 pilot. When i got the same carb the jets had no Keihin stamp or size mark, so assumed they were wrong and got genuine jets. I'm thinking now the whole carb wasn't a genuine part.
@@ArmathuX how i do solve the problem of carbuter when i leave it in home outpouring some gasoline. Are all kawassaki motorcycle the same? (KAWASSAKI KDX 200 1995) THANK YOU❤️❤️
@@lexprue Yes, they do. Technology Elevated also can make a SmartCarb SC2 custom made for basically any bike as well. I have a 40mm SC2 on my CR500R and it's the best $700 I've ever spent on a bike hands down. The throttle response is so good that it feels like a fuel injected bike. I plan to make more videos on it soon maybe with an exhaust sound comparison between the Pro Circuit 304 and the FMF Powercore 2 since I haven't seen any videos on RU-vid that compare between the two on the 500 and possibly a Q&A on the bike mods. Right now it's too hot outside where I live to be recording videos. lol
Why did you switch out to the air striker 38? The stock 39.5 gives the bike a bit more power from the mid to high end. The 38 im sure you noticed a little more bottom end. The stock carb isn't too bad at all honestly, and fairly easy to jet. Air striker is a big upgrade for a cr500r and 250, but I personally like the stock kx500 for the kx.
@@keithpeterson3447 just run a jd jetting kit for your year make and model bike. Shows you in the instruction what jets and needle to use and what position on the clip. I bought the carb he’s using and jd jetting kit. Jd jetting sells the carb and kit for 360. My cr500 runs so crisp now

My KDX has that, i think the float height is set too high causing it to leak out of the overflow. also the fuel tap apparently doesnt seal when its off so guessing that needs new seals aswel
@@sardamsardar it's not normal to have gas leaking from the carb. Your float needle is not sealing. Replace the float needle (they come in carb rebuild kit). Also polish the seat where the needle bottoms out to cut off gas flow. Use something like Brasso brass polish on a cotton swab (qtip) and twist that in the bottom of the hole. It will scrub off any deposits that are getting between the needle and seat. Don't change your float height unless you're going by what the manual says to set it to.
@@equalizer4633 if your float height is too high the engine will run super rich. Lowering the float height in a good running bike is a bad idea. Look at Michael Sabo's recent video where he did that to his TRX250R and burned the piston from running way too lean.
Hey i got 125sx 04year and it dont want to ride from bottom. When it rev i wheelies but on half throotle it kinda bogs. 188 main jet 45 pilot jet. Jet needle 2nd from the top. Please help
Also you pilot jet can be too big if it won’t pull from the bottom. Drop the needle height by one try if that doesn’t work put it back and change the jets
Motul 32:1 is best. Always run a two stroke a little richer.. Better to foul a plug then to blow up your bike. Only time you will ever foul a plug is if your doing like trail riding or scared of the bike and ride it like a old man... Keep it in the power and that's never an issue.
Cane Corso haha i know what u mean, btw 32:1 would be considered leaner because there is less fuel and more oil, it’s weird, 50:1 is not too bad, but i tried 40:1 and it was smoking a whole lot more, spark plugs are like 3-5 euro anyway
