Hi Keith - I don't think you're getting good at it this - I think you've always been good at this - and the fact that these two bikes now run is due to your systematic approach and diligence - an absolute joy to watch - thank you so much for sharing your experiences!

This is awesome. It's great to see this bike finally run. I would not do the sync just yet, provided you did the mechanical sync as described in the service manual. It will get you quite close and the engine will run and start without issues. Once everything is checked and adjusted for vacuum leaks, like your exhaust, or carb boots and holders, then i would perform the sync.

Very nice work, Keith! Just shows that You're not so amateur at this, as the channel name says! 😁 If You can't see where that oil leak is coming from, take a look behind the stator. Or, it also could be just exessive oil from the build stages, that just blows out, due to pressure? As mentioned before, can't wait to see this one on the road again. It's such a well designed and technically composed bike, I'm suspecting the value of these bikes to go up in the near future, as it seems the Z1 and 2-stroke market has reached the top, in my opinion. Happy days and big congratulations to You! Just a tad of synchronization now, and then - Let the good times roll! It's now 6 AM here in Oslo, so off to the workshop it is! Have a great day on!😎

Well done Keith! I'm at a similar point with mine and I really look forward to seeing your vids. A couple of things I've noted and done: When starting, it loves a little bit of throttle. I got a colourtune G4074 and it has been brilliant at helping optimize the airscrews setting, you still need a bit of tuning 'feel', but it's a massive help. I sent the choke plungers off for new seals, not sure if you've done yours? The c/tune also lets you see how quickly the plungers seal themselves. Also, I got some non-leak float bowl gaskets, they don't dry out and shrink. Good luck and can't wait for the next vid!

Nice one Keith, I was hoping you would get it running soon. Had my 77-B1 since 1995, love it, needs new coils and a bit of fettling but on the road for the summer soon.

You've done a lot. But remember, you have to let it run. Before you can determine what to do next. My advice, would be to let it run, while get your tools to work on your fuel and air flow. If you do this your cut down on a lot of unnecessary work. Our bikes are old.
