I've been chasing issues with my fuel pump on my 2510 not getting power for some time. Finally decided to look up videos. There were a few helpful ones but you were the only one to mention that igniter by the flywheel. You saved me from saying a lot of dirty words so thank you greatly! :) Cheers and best wishes to you!

I want to check this on our Mule. We have replaced the relay a few times and also the fuel pump twice. We have also wired a permanent connection to the battery to bring current to the fuel pump to get around all of this. The problem has been intermittent but i wonder if the wire you show in your video could be shorting out intermittently. I found this video very helpful.

Great video. I have a mule 3010. I have no fuel pressure and no spark on back cylinder . Good spark on front cylinder. Could it be the igniter or a broke wire? Thanks

I rebuilt the carb, cleaned the gas tank, then changed fuel pump and pressure cutout, relay it is running but seems like not getting the fuel it should it requires choking to some degree to make it run. Still it is not running to power as it should

I am haviing an issue with my 2005 Kawasaki Mule 3010 Diesel. All of a sudden it just bogged down like it had no power. With the pedal to the floor, it drives like it is at 1/2 speed or less. It sounds good, no sputter, just no speed or power. Someone recommended that I change the fuel filter. I did that, but had no effect. This Mule has 39 hours on a rebuilt engine.

My Mule 2500 will start and idle but has no power. I tried to rebuild the card with improvement so I purchased a replacement carb and installed it but I'm have the same issue. Could it be the fuel pump or relay?

hi mower medic 1, i recently purchased a 2007 mule 3000, has 490 hours and the rear diff-lock won't lock. i took all the slack out of the cable but it didn't help. do u have any tips concerning this issue?

Having exactly same problem now. Wires that connect to fuel pump checked with ohm meter got 12.61. hooked fuel pump to 12 volt battery it worked pumped fuel hooked the wires together pump doesn’t work. If I am getting 12.61 from wires going to igniter & pump relay is new what else is left.

So the same pickup that creates the timing for the spark, also has a pulse or pulses to keep the fuel feed alive. Very clever really, if the engine stops then no pumping of petrol lol.

Wish mine was that easy! Have the 2005 trans version and the drive shaft is on the opposite side as in the video. Have to remove it and the throttle cable bracket just to get the cover off!

So i know this is an old video, but im having this issue with no fuel pump power on a 2005 mule transit. The fuel pump wire does not route as shown in video. It come out the wire channel and goes to passenger side of frame directly to the pump. I get now power to it and has new pump and new relay. I tried testing the pulse coil (pickup coil or igniter) and i dont get a volt reading when cranking. I also do not get spark on front coil but i tested the wires to the coil and it has 3.4 volts where it connects to coil when cranking. I ran wires on a switch from battery to pump and it will start and run but only on back cylinder. Could it be that the igniter and coil went bad at the same time?

I have a 600cc Mule that doesn't seem to be getting any fuel pressure from the pump. I detached the electrical connections from the pump and my voltmeter shows 3 volts between the two connections when cranking the Mule. I currently am jumping the Mule battery with my car while doing this because the battery has gone low while troubleshooting. Any idea what might be going on?

How do you test the fuel relay? I turn the key on 2 wires get 12 v and the black /blue one is dead.

Took the fuel line off my Mule 2510 and spun the engine over. No fuel is coming out. I ordered a fuel pump and relay off Amazon. I hope it’s one of these problems. I don’t know how to test either one so I ordered them both.

I I have a 2007 3010 Mule, cold engine starts immediately with full choke, choke reduced to 1/2 after cranking, continue warm up with foot pedal, then engine dies after a couple of minutes as if the fuel is being cut off. when the engine starts to die I have tried pulling the choke out with no effect. This problem goes away after engine reaches running temp.

my 2510 makes a strong whine when hitting the key. It will eventually turnover and start after hitting the key on the 4th or 5th time. Could this be it?

probably there so if you have an accident the fuel will stop when the motor is stopped fuel will not continue to flow with the motor off

Hi Jeremy, I am having this problem and I tried your fix and there isn`t a problem with that pick up wire. So far I have traced power to the wires going to the fuel pump relay and i have power to the relay on 2 of the wires. I have no power to the pump though. i have a brand new relay on it too so that eliminates that as a possibility also. What should I try next?

I've got 2004 mule 3000 and it runs good sometimes and then it will die while driving or sitting still but if I pull the choke it will run again for a minute and then die again do you think this is related to the fuel pump or relay?

HELPl. We have a MULE SX 2018 with very few hours on it. Used it to dump clippings this week. Was on a steep incline, so before climbing back up hill slipped it into 4 wheel drive. At the top of the hill, stopped completely, shifted into 2 wheel drive and moved on. In about 40 yards it lost power, Popped (sound), and engine shut down. We’ve not been able to restart. The shifter will not move out of Neutral. Checked filters and spark plug - all normal. Somehow there must be a link between shifting into and out of 4W drive and the engine not starting. ADVISE please.

I have a 3010 mule have replaced the fuel pump relay and checked the wire from the ignitor. I know the pump is good because I have wired it directly to 12v and it pumps fine. Any ideas?

Well the mule will run when fuel pump is wired direct so I know it has to be either the pulser on the igniter telling the fuel pump relay to turn on or the ground wire. Do you have any idea what kind of voltage I should have off the wire from the igniter to the relay?

@@jonathanvaughn1984 Sounds easy right? Just replace the harness, LMAO WTF? I am having the same issue, new relay new pump and the old pump works because i jumped it off the battery. I have power to the relay and still no power to my pump! It sounds like a common thing by how many people are having the same problem! I am trying to trace mine now. It would be nice if he went a little deeper and told us how many volts we should have coming out of ignitor, or where the wire goes from the relay so we knew where to check. It sounds more like he got lucky with this fix and made a video. Anyone could say your harness is bad!

Ethanol induced obstruction in the carb. Something is clogged. Add seafoam to fuel and hope or remove and clean all passages of carb.

All of you with metal fuel tanks, use a small flashlight, check for rust. It seems someone is making a fortune selling fuel pumps when in fact the only problem is rust in tank blocking fuel flow.

I have a problem with a 2002 mule. I can't get it to stay running at an idle. I have had 2 people check the carb. and they said it was ok. it has fresh gas new fuel filter and lines, has 6 volts at the gas pump, good compression, and good spark. when I took one of the spark plugs out to check the spark and compression. it fired up and idled on one cycle but I put the plug back in it won't idle. so I tried the other cycle. it did the same thing fired up and idled but then I put the plug in. it fires then dies. do you have any ideas? please email me at sc16127@yahoo.com
