I also do not see a market or need for the original Teryx 800's now that this machine is out. I have a 16 T4 and have built it up a lot just to get it where I wanted it. Been a good machine, but lack of aftermarket support, 58HP, tall reverse gear and rough buck board suspension have always bothered me. I ended up installing portals just so I could run 32's and have some sort of power to turn them. I also installed a soft top enclosure but its sloppy and not sealed that well as most soft tops are. Installed a heater and it works, just not super well and I hate where it had to be mounted on the passenger side footwell area. A ridge with 4" portals and 34-35" tires and full heat/AC with sealed hard doors etc would be sweet, just having a hard time spending 34K when I have a paid off fully capable T4 in my garage

That was my initial thought yesterday but after further thinking, Yamaha has two UTVs in the sport/utility class - the Wolverine line up and the RMax line up. With that being said, the Wolverine and Teryx are priced similar and well under 20k. This would still allow people a “cheap” option to get into this hobby with a sport/utility machine. To get into the RMax and Ridge you will need to spend at least 20k. Time will tell. I too have and older 2015 T4 and have always wished they would boost the CCs and suspension travel but that will of course increase the price of the vehicle. Maybe this Ridge will give us older Teryx buyers another option. Thanks for watching!!

I had a bevel gear nut loosen on my 2015 Teryx4 (video of repair on this channel). Although the failure never left me stranded, the noise from the excessive gear lash drove me crazy so I decided to bring it in for repair (still under warranty). My local dealer couldnt pinpoint the problem although I told them what it was. After some back and forth with them and Kawasaki, the dealer confirmed what I said, which was covered under warranty. Next, my dealer tells me they don’t have a qualified tech for the job and asked if I knew a qualified mechanic that they could pay. I laughed and told them if they would pay me for labor and provide all related parts, gaskets and fluids I would do it! Long story short, it was a pain in the butt but the Teryx4 is still strong! The bonus is this repair is what fueled the desire to start this RU-vid channel, hence Texas Patriot Off-Road and Outdoors was born!!
