I've owned my Vulcan S now for 3.5 years and just over 5kmi. Here is my review of what that journey has been like and my future plans for the bike.
I took a look at my service log and other than a $250 'first service' at the dealer where I bought the bike (where they checked a few complaints as well), the bike hasn't been back to the dealer and the only costs I've had with it have been annual inspections, oil changes and washes. Solid machine!

UK viewer here. I absolutely love my Vulcan S. I bought it brand new in 2018 in Lava red, and what a bike it is. I'm not really into mods but I have added heated grips (it gets cold here!) LED lights and top box carrier. The standard seat is my only complaint. The bike rides brilliantly, and that engine is superb. Handling is great too, I reckon Kawasaki got it spot on with the Vulcan S. Stay safe in these worrying times.

I bought a 2020 Vulcan S Cafe two weeks ago and I haven't been able to ride it yet due to Hurricane season. Looking forward to taking it out.

It is worth mentioning that Vulcan S has a parallel-twin DOHC engine instead of a SOHC V-twin design, and therefore, it has very different control riding characteristics. When I go to very light throttle, it gets a slight vibration/shudder. Not really lugging motor and it will accelerate fine. The Vulcan S simply doesn’t like “light throttle “. It likes to be wound out and shifted around 5000 rpm. I wanted to shift at 2000 rpm and ride at 2500 to 3000 rpm and Vulcan S engine doesn’t like that (shudder and vibrate). I now shift at 4500 to 5000 rpm and cruise around 5000 rpm. It just takes some getting used to (for those who used to ride a V-twin bike).

I have a Suzuki vstrom 650 love the bike but I am get up there a little and been looking real hard at the Vulcan s 650. I did test ride one and loved it it was so much lighter than my bike. I am just afraid of buyers remorse cause I travel a little on my bike and I still want to be able to.

If you get a screen and a better seat, I don't see why this bike couldn't be a tourer for long distance trips. Those two things are key I think. Thanks for watching!

Yeah. Life keeps me busy. Doesn't help that I don't have the ability to commute like I used to on my Ninja's as I work from home now full-time (for many years). I used to do 5kmi a year on my other bikes but life has thrown a wrench into that happening on the Vulcan.

Why does it matter? Some people work 60hrs a week and have other responsibilities with family or their community that prevents them from riding every waking moment. Thanks for the view 🤣🤣 but you can get lost. Stupid comment.

@@FstLaneUkraine Yeah, I like posting drivel but only to those that deserve it. Been riding bikes for over 40 years, average 10,000 miles a year, ride through UK winters all year round. Guess that makes me more of a Biker than you'll ever be,
