I have the VLINE in my M56x, VLITE is in my QX60. I prefer the VLITE at this point but still happy with both purchases for sure! One of the best things I've done to my vehicles!
Other than the Torque app, I realized I don't need standalone apps (and thus hotspot to run them) on the VLINE. The VLITE is simply and only wireless Android Auto (or carplay) and that's all I need.
@@FstLaneUkraine Good point. I don't really have a use for stand alone apps too, but the price difference isn't that much... so it feels kinda like: better pay a little more money now for more functionality. However, the vlite interface looks slick as f
HUGE THANK YOU MAN. I got my microphone adapter second hand and your video was THE ONLY ONE that mentioned the 3 black lines to 2 black lines thing. 2 minutes into your video and my problem is solved!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Nice! I replaced my lifter bucket even after they did it just for good measure but the one they put there still looked okay. You can find the guide on NICOClub.
Look i love Infiniti.... But there's nothing still modern looking about their cars. Even their cars of just a few years back were outdated. The q50... Omg.
Thank you so much for making this video man! I saw the Bluetooth audio option on the main vlite menu there. If you go there does it allow you to stream bluetooth audio without using android auto?
True, it does, but only for like 2-3 weeks a year. NY would go into winter suck for 6 months 😂. I'm actually relocating soon again, but not back to NY.
If you push the "Voice/Call" button on the steering wheel does it activate Google Assistant? Like can I say, "Navigate Home"? Or do you have to push the microphone button on the screen?
Why push the mic on the regular system though ?? There's a mix from the vline ..just say hey Google and go from that, no need to touch the original button
The system comes with a new mic, which I do have installed, but you are not forced to use the mic from the GROM VLite. You can continue using the factory system to make calls.
I have PPE long tube headers, one magnaflow cat on each manifold, full 2.5" ss piping, xpipe, no resonators, and valvetronic universal mufflers on my 2011 m56x. No CEL. Sounds insane with the valves open, and with the valves closed there's no drone and is relatively quite with the windows rolled up.
Hello. You can find my install instructions on NICOClub.com. I documented the entire process. It's medium difficulty I'd say for someone who is somewhat familiar with DIY work. I do all of my own DIY so it wasn't difficult at all.
Yep, absolutely is illegal. You are correct. But in my experience in both NY and FL, cope don't care. Have never even been remotely asked about it while getting tickets for my side windows lol. Either they were blind or they just don't enforce that part...but I'll take it 😁.
Update from me after installing it on my FX30d. I'm listening Souncloud and my favorite DJ's all the time. Much better than 320kbps mp3 file(I admit I have never played Audio CD or DVD, so cannot compare to those). Sound is one of the best I have ever heard, and this is a car!
Nice to see a review on the M56. My father purchased a 2011 with the Sport Package in 2014 and still has it. Relatively low miles for the age too, 102K. Mentioned it was a challenge to find even back then! He’s only ever seen one other 56 on the road.
This is still the case! Extremely rarely and I've only seen one or two in the wild in my 8.5 years of owning mine! And there is like a handful on auto trader in the whole US last I checked. It's definitely a unicorn which is why I am keeping mine for a long long time.
@@FstLaneUkraineweird but I’ve seen at least a handful of m56’s in Maryland the past year, but in my area q50s, g37s and Infiniti suv’s are literally all over the place so maybe there’s just a lot of Infiniti’s in MD
Hey there! I totally think it's worth it if you know the engine is in good condition. For example, I'm meticulous with my maintenance and recently did an oil analysis with Blackstone Labs which proves that my engine is healthy. If you know it's a good motor, I say go for it!
Yep, works great. You'd have to check if it works for the newer Q70 but I don't think much changed between my 11 and the last Q70 that rolled off the line in 2019. Some of the best money I've spent on this car!
I had a 'fake' Muffler delete by virtue of my muffler pipes snapping (both of them) thanks to NY rust :). But I've since fixed them and they are attached again.
I'm looking at an '11 m56-s but I had an '07 g35 sedan 6spd and it was the worst car I ever had so I'm scared of it. Had 3 Nissan's and loved them but the infiniti g35 was a nightmare
I'd say as long as it had maintenance records and the timing chain recall done, you should be okay. But yes, there are duds with all makes and models. I've been lucky and both my M35x and M56x have been nothing but reliable.
Hey there! I think if you had all of the maintenance records, proof of the timing chain recall being done, and it was in overall great condition (have it inspected?) it would be a solid buy. Don't forget to check things like oil level before test drive (if car hasn't been running yet, etc.). I'm very happy with mine still!
@@QuikModsOBS I would possibly reach out to a local dealer and see if they have records of it having the recall. If they didn't have it done, I personally would probably stay away. Also, depending on when it was done, it may be time to replace the HPFP lifter bucket (search NICOClub.com for that info).
When I connected my purple panda mic to my GoPro 10, I have good audio, but the GoPro 10 voice commands don't work when my motorcycle is running. Do you have that same problem?
Yep, that was the fix. Cost about 2k +- depending on dealer but I also had them do a few other fluids too so not sure 100% as it's been a year how much exactly just the rack was. I wanna say 1.5k?
@@FstLaneUkraine damn, yeaaa I figured. Also have the Parking Brake and ABS/Traction lights flicker under heacy acceleration. By chance, do you know what that could be?
How do these events work? There is one happening soon in my city. I can't ride a motorcycle yet. Unfortunately, I'm getting my MSF courses on the same day of the event. Is the main purpose of these events just to let people ride motorcycles and try them out? Or are there other stuff to do like learning more about the bike and talking to representatives about upcoming deals, promotions, etc.?
That's basically it. You can come chat about upcoming or current promotions, test ride a variety of bikes, talk to other riders, etc. This particular event even provided some burgers and hot dogs. If you can't yet ride, they won't let you without a license, but you should be able to at least sit on them.
Have you ever used a spray carbon cleaner? And if so where did you spray it into?. I have 2011 and i get 26 to 27 on highway still with 125000. Miles. I sometimes get a bank 1 catalytic efficiency code but performance wise it has no lack of power so i think it maybe carbon buildup or o2 sensor. Thanks.
