Hi, You may not be a mechanic but for for sure you have passion for this K model. I have two J's (green white blue) models that are completely standard. I do also have an immaculate original rear K model fibreglass seat pod if you know of someone wanting one. I have it on eBay currently for £900. Oh one last thing. There are 4 rubbers you're missing, you may already know? On the hoover pipes, they prettify the 'jubilee clips' They are the same 2 that were in the H models. You have a great day sir. Fantastic !! had a1992 model myself put around 7000 miles on it sold it about 13 years ago for just under 10,000 US.

I have the J1 version, gorgeous machines. The airbox i remember was an absolute pain in the rear end to get on to the carbs lol, a copper mallet and some heat off a hairdryer did the trick. Slips on no bother now! I remember when i bought it the previous owner accidentally [dont ask me how!] undone the carb adjuster screw all the way out, thinking he was undoing the engine block manifold..... yeh, baffled me how he got them mixed up, too! The difference in engine sound and throttle response between a balanced/synced up carb to one which hasnt been done, is huge

One of my all time faves, in the late 80s, and 90s. Never owned one, but I would ride a friend's, often. Those lines, I think of an F4 Phantom II jet. I mean, the bike just looks like it was designed, as a combat machine. Fierce, poised..a street weapon, that can hold it's own, today.

I sold one of the exact same model (K1) to a young lad starting out many years ago and moved on to a zx9r. I immediately regretted selling it... The next time I saw it a couple of years later was at the back of his house standing half rotted in the pissing rain looking like sh1t. Couldn't believe it, lad has no idea what he had.....

My second bike was a 92 ZX-7R. In 96 I blew the motor for the 3rd time. I was next to team Kawasaki at Phillip Island in the pits. I knew some of the boys on the team, raced next to them, got thrashed by them. So i asked for a motor. A Large Chunk of money later that day I installed the ZX-7RR N1 Factory Team motor and CDI. Blew it 6 months later Hahahahahaha Phuck!!! Rebuilt it. Had the bike till 2008. Then I left Australia, the guy I sold it to destroyed it 3 weeks later. I cried. Literally cried. Put so much time and money into it. 390lb wet. Ti everything, carbon wheels, most minute wiring harness i could get away with. Custom built carbon sub frame and Fairings. Carbon petrol tank. I made a Ti shorty exhaust for it to save weight. Butt killing foam seat. Brembo suspension. No lights when it was dum time. Lights weighed 2kg, easily removable. All electronics moved forward. I could have bought a house for what i put into it. 42mm Klein carbs, tuned to an inch of it's 50 hour life, then a rebuild. At 100 hours it blew up Again.... Phuck! Custom made motor internals, didn't like to start up with such lumpy cams. 14 to 1 compression,, forget the exact number but had to run very high octane gaa. On the right fuel with Velocity Stacks it made 180 at the rear tyre at Sea Level on a 25⁰ C day. Horrible fueling below ~7k. At 9k it was moving. At 10k it accelerated like a two stroke! Scared the whimpering shit out of me every day. LOVED IT! Best bike I've ever owned!!! So much thrust at 10k Thats how my "Mate" destroyed it. In race prep ); Miss that bike so badly sometimes. But a RC-51 and a new Tuono Fact do sort of make up for it. But how that ZX-7R would destroy tyres! It flogged liter bikes! 300kph on the straight at Phillip Island. Then boom. Back to the shop for a rebuild! I spent so much money on it, never regretted a second though! Hahahaha. Very nice bike you had there, you sold it? Shame. But bikes come and go. Ps. I'm very impressed by your attention to cleanliness when building the bike! Keep on rolling mate. Cheers from Adrian (we do both have a great name)

Looks fantastic, very beautiful. Curios in your frame as did you paint it and if so what colour code did you use? I am in the process of restoring my 96 rr n1 and the frame has your typical rub marks and i am on the fence on painting it.
