Ken Whiting of Paddle TV ( / paddletv )was in town and looking to do some Kayak Camping. I jumped on the chance to show him down the South Fork of the New River. Kevin Champ of Wondering Electrician and P5 came along to enjoy a frigid weekend of kayak camping. Even with the frozen temperatures, we had an amazing time enjoying a beautiful little stretch of river.

The fact that Ken Whiting came down to paddle with none other than the River King is a testament to the quality of your channel. It was a good pairing and P5 will remember the opportunity to paddle with a leader in the world of paddling… when the frostbite dissipates.

I waited and waited you would give some notes to Ken how he should time his edging… but no 😂 Seriously. It was nice to see two guys together whos videos I mostly watch. You both are creating different point of view from same topic, and like fullfillng each others work.

PaddleTV an Is the 1st channel I started watching when I decided to start kayaking. Ken is truly a legend. With PaddleTV, River Kings and the wondering electrician ( 3 of the best channels on RU-vid when it comes to kayaking) how could you go wrong?

You said on the Canoe Hound Show that you’s would do a paddle together and you’s did it. This was so amazing to see the two best kayaking legends together. Been following Ken for quite a few years and you for a few years now. I don’t do white water but find your videos so informative and very relaxing to watch and I think I’m addicted to your laugh. Can’t wait to see Kens footage. Thanks so much for letting this happen. Does Ken get a River Kings sticker now. Lol😘 Very nice to see father son bond. Nothing compares to that.

Good to see some old friends ( I haven't met yet ) out for an adventure, getting some water time even though it's a little chilly. Looking forward to more videos of the kayak camping. Fun was had by all! By the way, love that paddle you have. Glad you recommend it. I let everyone try mine. Can't believe how lightweight it is.

Hey Pete, I really enjoyed watching both your video of this trip, as well as the one Ken did...I stumbled across both of your channels at about the same time and had watched these awhile back, but me and a few buddies are heading up there this weekend and I wanted to get a feel for the river again. So where did you guys start and finish? I know you camped at River Bend, and we'll be passing there on our way to the US221 area for the first night, then the Allegheny sites on night two. Anyway, thanks again for another stellar video!!
