Dude, I love the plastic walmart kayaks, you can drop them, throw them, bang them on rocks, flood them, drag them across the rocks and drain them on land! They get scuffed but you don't care, you only paid less than $250 for them. Those $1000 touring fiberglass kayaks, all the time worried about scratching them.

I love your videos. I spend as much time on the Medina, the San Marcos, and the Guadalupe as I can and I might have a tip you will like. Camping in tents, I rarely use stakes or pegs, instead I take sandbags and fill them with rocks or sand (whatever is available). In the morning, empty each bag, roll them up, and stuff them in with the tent. I do this so my ultralight backpacking tents (fairly expensive) never get blown away when I am not bedded down in them. Good luck and keep up the great content.
@GatewoodBrown
@GatewoodBrown 2 года назад
That is spot on advice! I too have stopped bringing stakes and rarely use a rain fly. But when I have to I’ll just find a big rock and tie around it. Or a fallen branch. Those rocks are impossible to stake in! Haha
