A few things that stuck out: - Group left 8-12 hours after incident - She was reported missing 24 hours after the “incident” so that report would have been made remotely, after departing Guatemala - Nancy was reported missing on Oct. 19 meaning incident occurred on Oct. 18, just a few days into the retreat - That means the group cut the trip early and fled the country

Sounds to me like they mightve been there not following proper protocols. So they ditched the country.

A person is not require by law to give an interview, including witnesses. It's their right to protect themselves from self-incrimination. Remember that anything they say can be used against them even if they are innocent. I doubt the FBI hasn't already contacted the yoga group members and requested interviews. Their best chance is one or more members willing to come forward and say something they've seen or heard.

@@PerfectoKiss There is no question it is suspicious, but you are missing the point. The FBI can't simply interrogate the group unless there is an arrest. Just because the group left quickly is not enough for an arrest. There isn't even a sign of the body. The only thing the FBI can do is to request they volunteer to speak.

The behaviors of all people in this kayaking/yoga group are very questionable. So many questions: Why no rushing to request help? Why not even speaking to the Beal couple? Leaving the country, bills unpaid, a few hours after a missing woman? What kind of people would even think to do that? Not reporting this missing woman (Nancy) to the nearest authorities , or even contacting the American Consul there plus folks back in America? Sickening group IMO, until I find out something decent about them, they are vile and cruel.

I'm native of Guatemala, this lake is absolutely beautiful but it's dangerous because it's very deep and in the late afternoon hours it's known for areas with very strong currents. Many years ago a couple of tourists including a local guide went missing while on a boat tour and they were never found. The cayaking company should know this and warn people of the rapid currents as they go deeper in the lake and it's beyond me that Nancy appears not to be wearing a life jacket as they are leaving.

I think it's important to highlight that it is very probable that everyone involved with the yoga retreat/the accident was a tourist or not actually from Guatemala. Once the rental owners discovered only nine came back, why didn't they contact the police that same evening to report a kayaker was missing? The owner says the last kayaker returned was visibly distraught. If they sensed something was wrong, why did they not take immediate action on the missing person? That could have included taking a motorized boat out to find her. Why did it take 24 hours to notify authorities, as had been previously reported? For the yoga group members that left the next day, was that already planned, or did they up and leave the country early? Some of these questions could have been posed in this interview.

@@redstarseed514 Yes, still lots of questions here. The owner claims to have discovered the yoga group members left the country when she called their hotel to seek payment. Is this customary business practice? It's a short kayaking excursion, not purchase of inventory. I would think payment is made BEFORE use of the kayaks, or at least upon return to shore. Doubtful, but was the yoga group actually based in Guatemala? Reporter says a distressed signal was called. If the remaining two kayakers were outside of visibility, and the remaining eight had already returned, how was the signal communicated? Owner says everyone clammed up, implying they were hiding something. Again, why would the other eight kayakers behave in this manner if they had returned prior to the last two drifting off? If everyone had returned to shore, suggesting the trip was wrapping up, it doesn't make sense that the remaining two would continue paddling further away from shore.

We only know the water was described as choppy. Perhaps something in the water frightened Nancy and she tried to stand up?? Maybe to see where the shore line was and she tipped out? My theory here, feel free to challenge it. If she had a medical emergency and suddenly passed out, fell off the kayak unconscious and disappeared immediately into the water; this scenario would clear everyone else of any wrongdoing and they would all cooperate with whatever information they had. So why is everyone refusing to cooperate? Because they were all participating in an illegal activity at the time of the accident; perhaps they were all high on psychedelic drugs. People that are willing to travel to a yoga retreat in a remote wilderness area in a foreign country are into hippie trippy things like "unlocking vibrations and frequencies to heal and connecting with the universe, etc". Many believe that psychedelic drugs can "open their mind" to these things. She overdosed or had a bad reaction, it could have been an interaction a prescription drug in her system, or she simply became disoriented from the drug, or incoherent, or unconscious and fell of the kayak and drowned. Everyone else was too high to respond to the emergency adequately. Paranoia and self-preservation took over and they decided they wouldn't risk going to prison in a foreign country so they all rushed to go home and didn't even pay for the kayaks. They ran away as fast as possible which indicates they were all participants in something that carries legal consequences. If there were no drugs involved and she truly just experienced an unfortunately timed medical emergency and fell off and drowned, why would everyone else flee so desperately and refuse to cooperate? Because they were all in the possession of illegal substances and they would all fail a drug test upon an investigation and they feared legal consequences from trafficking drugs to possession, consumption, and even manslaughter. In a foreign country to make it worse.

This scenario of the witness who last saw Nancy & tour guide who are not cooperating with authorities to not give their statement about the whereabouts of Nancy or to help authorities find her but instead skipped out of a hotel bill and fly out of the country knowing that Nancy is missing, reminds me of the Gabby Petito story. Remember how Gabby’s boyfriend killed her and avoided texts/calls from her family, took Gabby’s vehicle/van and drove it to his parents home and still did not notify Gabby’s family or authorities that Gabby was missing until days later. The tour guide and the witness as well as the rest of the people on that ‘so-called’ yoga retreat are suspicious. Also, what did they do with Nancy’s belongings/ luggage and purse with her personal information as well as money or credit cards 💳?
@Mokawoo
@Mokawoo 9 месяцев назад
From what im hearing this so called “yoga retreat” is nothing but sham. The people who rented that hotel with yng should be prosecuted. The towns people who own that hotel weren’t payed and they didn’t get the chance to speak with the tourist probably becuase they wanted to leave as soon as possible without interaction. I’m from Guatemala and I visit every year and we Guatemalans tend to avoid suspicious people. We are very timid and we trust our companions to pay back what we gave. Im guessing these people rushed out without warning. We Guatemalans work very hard for what we have even if its small the people must have been busy doing something since those people weren’t suppose to check out until later date.

The fact that the media keeps twisting the facts around is astonishing. The yoga group has been in contact with local authorities, US embassy, and the family. They provided photos and videos directly to the family. The family was contacted directly by the yoga instructor who let them know that she drowned. Its so unfortunate that they have yet to recover her body but this all needs to stop - everyone is traumatized.
@TheQueensWish
@TheQueensWish 9 месяцев назад
You seem privy to information the rest of us do not have. So answer this: Nancy could not drown unless she was in the water. She was last seen in the video in her kayak. Now a kayak is not something that you stand up in or leave to “go for a swim” in the middle of a deep lake. So how did Nancy leave her boat and end up in the water? How?? Why was there no life jackets? Did Nancy capsize in her Kayak what would cause that to occur? A wave?? I do not understand how she entered the water??

What a bunch of crap. In the last known video of her the conditions are calm as can be. Sure, they may have changed suddenly ... or not. Also, as the owners of *any* sort of tourist operation like this, when one of your clients/guests doesn't return from your outing, it is YOUR responsibility to find them. Appearing on a news clip 4 weeks later doesn't count as due diligence. The kayak company should've gone out looking for the missing person + boat.

Absolutely agree. FBI Investigation will put pressure on the the collusion that’s obvious to the public. How disgraceful are these business operators! If you were a parent or a school teacher or yourselves about to book with these people don’t. They have no safety procedures Or duty of care plans in place whatsoever! Their attitude is disgraceful. The party that went out they will be investigated so time is running out for them. Water is calm, yes we see it’s calm so more lies won’t help their daughter/sister come home. I know how quickly nature changes so if the kayak operators thought it wouldn’t be safe due to the “ upcoming weather changes “ and not stopping the tour says a lot. Your causal approach to the disappearance of one person in your care says to me “ Guilty “. If you didn’t stop the tour your liable and you know it!
