I'm sitting here looking at my Walmart ammo box thinking it will make a good battery box for my fish finder so I RU-vid it and find this video! Heh! Thanks for the ideas.
+Byron Stafford Thanks Byron! Ive been updating my battery boxes for the past couple years now and I've always went back to the ol Walmart ammo box. Im working on one now with USB ports in it to power my GoPros.
where did you install the transducer? I have a sit in kayak of roughly similar size (12 ft) and I dont want to drill a hole in the bottom of it. Thanks
i placed my transducer under my seat. Used the foam block and marine goop you see in alot of other vids on youtube. the bow of my boat was too pointed to put it in the nose so under my seat worked out great. out of the way and hides wires

ive had it out approx 12 hours total running the fish finder the entire time and its still running strong. I havent charged it yet. ill be charging at the end of June since im going on a trip and want to be prepared but so far its lasted greatly
