Thanks for watching the vids! Yes, all of the bridges are accessible by boat. Several bridges to check out around here, there is Destin bridge, Midbay, Shalimar, Rocky Bayou, Cinco Bayou, Brooks, and 331. I would say Destin may be the most challenging with it being at the pass closer to the Gulf, the tides do create some good current there. Always check the weather and wind because the Bay can still get pretty choppy. I use the Windfinder app which gives me wind, waves, and tides. Wind and tides are what's most applicable to inshore. At about 10-15 mph the bay starts to chop up. Some areas are still fishable even if the wind does pick up, it all depends on wind direction and how you position yourself. Hopefully the info is helpful.

@@oafishingmy man! All great useful info especially for Okie primarily freshwater Fisher but I have gotten into some bull reds. That’s what got me the fever. Supposed to get out there towards Christmas area. My dad is flying in for two of the days from Texas. I was debating on getting a guide first to try to figure them out. If we get some good conditions, would you be down link up to show me some spots???

@@harrisonmendez7138 getting a guide wouldn't be a bad idea, I just don't know how much that would run you. I can't make any promises on linking up because my kids will be out of school for Christmas break, but I'll be doing my best to get on the water.

Yes I did. This day I bought them at Emerald Coast Bait and Tackle. Sometimes I buy them at Bay Baits off 331 if I’m fishing that area. I also call ahead to see if they have them so I don’t waste time just going there to find out they sold out.

I just re-spliced a new Nocqua connector to my battery since one of the pins in it broke off. I guess the O-ring fell out a while back and salt corroded the pins. I wouldn't know how to tackle the transducer issue. My guess is clean all of the connectors with corrosion x and apply dielectric grease. Might just need a new transducer. I understand the frustration of it not working especially when you're trying to get on the water.

Man you timed the tide perfectly looks like it was dead still. Was that on mid-bay or rocky? @@oafishing

@@erico5865 It could've been pure luck. I never check tides. I did have to figure out to to position myself with the wind and little bit of current when I first got there. Rocky.
