For decades my dream has been Alaska. I went up there from tx in nov 2022. Caught 2 good size Irish Lords. Took a charter and caught 2 good Kings and a Big rockfish. Thanks to your Lands End/ Homer videos, I kinda knew where I was going/ and what to expect. Enjoyed every minute of it. It was beautiful
Are you based out of Homer or just near there? I’m up in Soldotna and also new to saltwater kayaking and getting the nerves relaxed while out there. It’s pretty intense for sure. What kind of kayak are you running?
@@907shots9 nice - I've got a couple older Pescador Pilot 12s. I've only taken mine on the salt once so far but would love to get out more. Looks like you had some glassy conditions there! Hit me up if you're ever down in the area and wanting to hook up. I launched out of whiskey gulch which is a bit closer than Homer, but there's other options as well. I want to get out into Seward and Whittier too, but not sure when that's gonna work out just yet.
I appreciate that. It’s crazy how much time goes into editing. I feel like you could get lost in time and burn a whole week making a four minute video.
