Kayaking to Honeymoon Island and Caladesi Island | Florida's Remaining Undisturbed Barrier Islands 

Honeymoon Island is a barrier island across St. Joseph's Sound on the gulf coast side of Florida about 30 miles from Tampa. Consistently receiving more than one million visitors each year, it is the most-visited state park in Florida. Honeymoon and neighboring Caladesi Islands were originally part of a larger barrier island that was split in half during a major hurricane in 1921 In today's adventure we were going to visit both places. After unloading our kayaks, we launched from the non-morized watercraft section of Dunedin Causeway.
