You’re welcome! Also- this video is over a year old, there are many good options these days! I have a list of my favs on my website here if it helps!: www.rachelgothamsters.com/wheels-1
@@RachelGotHamsters Yesterday I ordered a good silent wheel alot of people have. I'm not sure what its called but it is dark green and black! Thank you for the link :)
I read on Amazon that the yellow thing behind is very fragile (some people had their wheel fallen from the cage in 1 week time). Is it true? Have you encountered this kind of situation?
Hi, thanks for your comment! I have not had the yellow clip fail in that way for me, nor did I sense that it would happen (although I’m not saying it doesn’t, it just didn’t feel particularly frail to me). What DOES happen is that the yellow piece breaks a tiny bit inside the wheel and makes the wheel not spin freely. This is definitely a huge problem as the wheel needs to have free motion for your hamster to properly use it. For that reason, I think these are fine wheels for short term situations- like if you need a wheel that easily clips into a cage for travel or if you’re waiting for a better wheel to come in the mail, but I wouldn’t recommend it as your primary wheel choice.
Hi! On the silent spinner I have not, but with Silent Runners, yes, a bit. If I tighten all the way they don’t spin super freely like the other wheels I have, but if I leave them a little loose they make slight knocking noises. My hams have gotten stronger so I now tighten all the way, but at first I had to leave them a little looser. Do you have this issue too?
Oof it can be hard! It’s really just pulling it off, no trick to it, but they are really stuck in there when you first get them. Sometimes finding a strong friend helps 💪 Just use cation that you don’t hit yourself with it when they do come loose!
My Syrian broke 10 inch after several months. We attached a fidget spinner to fix it. The latch and front plastic broke after a year on the Superhabitat. It was not abused but used often. Super cheap plastic. Also this cage too small for a Syrian. Actual use space is less than advertised. I have .multiple spoiled hamsters and find 50 gallon bins is way to go.
Wow, thanks for sharing! I can’t believe it still broke! Yes, I actually agree- I find the 50 gallon bins sooo much better, I think the SUPER habitat was fine for my robo for a while, but it just felt kind of uninspired, there was only so much I could do for him in there. I can only imagine a Syrian would go crazy in there!
Hahaha 🤣 yeah, I kind of agree. I actually don’t use any silent spinners anymore. I do use Kaytee comfort wheels and I actually think they are pretty great, although not amazing quality or appearance. At least the comfort wheel comes in appropriate sizes and is nice and wide!
@@RachelGotHamsters we have went with NITEANGEL and couldn’t be happier with the results. It’s more pricey but so well built and worth the extra money.
@@chrispronger6614 so true! I’m so glad they are available to us in the US. When I made this video about a year ago we only just barely had access to Niteangel wheels and they would sell out so quickly!
@@RachelGotHamsters they are incredible and built so well. I’m still baffled why companies like kaytee don’t make more well built suitable products. It’s nice to see NITEANGEL has done it right. Thank you for all your videos and great advice.
