Dan John has spent his life with one foot in the world of lifting and throwing, and the other foot in academia. An All-American discus thrower, Dan has also competed at the highest levels of Olympic lifting, Highland Games and the Weight Pentathlon, an event in which he holds the American record.
Dan spends his work life blending weekly workshops and lectures with full-time writing, and is also an online religious studies instructor for Columbia College of Missouri. As a Fulbright Scholar, he toured the Middle East exploring the foundations of religious education systems. Dan is also a Senior Lecturer for St Mary’s University, Twickenham, London.
His books, on weightlifting, include Intervention, Never Let Go, Mass Made Simple and Easy Strength, written with Pavel Tsatsouline as well as From Dad, To Grad. He and Josh Hillis co-authored “Fat Loss Happens on Monday.”
In 2015, Dan wrote Can You Go? on his approach to assessments and basic training. In addition, Before We Go, another compilation akin to Never Let Go became an Amazon Bestseller.
In early 2017, Dan’s book, Now What?, his approach to Performance and dealing with “life,” became a Bestseller on Amazon. Hardstyle Kettlebell Challenge became available in September 2017, too.

Dan, thanks for answering my question. I’m implementing your suggestions with a little variation - I do a “general workout” or an armour building workout on three days when I’m not golfing. I combine those with aerobic training on my spin bike on the same days, using the Maffetone test to make sure I’m not pushing too hard. It’s too tiring to do a “general workout” on the golf days - so I just do mobility work on golf days. So far (a couple of weeks) I’m feeling strong and it feels like I’m improving on all fronts. Thanks again. John

It depends on your size and age. Your team should have some kind of program. KBs would be ass't work for you.

@@DanJohnStrengthCoach @Dan John thank you for your comment but i don't belong to a team and i do rugby with my friend and club, sometimes. i'm looking for a weight training program that i can do on my own. i have kettlebell 16x2, 20x2, 24x2, 32x1 i can simple and sinister(simple) 32kb swing 10rep 10set get up 1rep 10set

@@DanJohnStrengthCoach thanks for your comment I found out about the Armor Building program. I think the program is right for me. Should I do this exercise once or twice a week? If I do this exercise 3 or 4 times a week, is it over training?
