Nice job Cliff! I'm working on a build where that might come in handy. I wonder if you loop that solder around the pipe, if it will look like a clamp? The straight pipes like that often gave those cars a different kind of crackle in the exhaust, so classic with the low riders
Thanks! I was thinking the same thing regarding looping the solder. In retrospect I should’ve drilled the holes in such a way that it was off to the side, lending itself to be looped around the tailpipe, creating a “hanger” situation. 🤔 I say go for it! I’d be happy to see how it works out for you. My exhaust guy in MA knew me and my brother as the glass pack guys, because we put duals with glass packs on everything we drove. He said he loved to give it a little SNAP! 😂 I miss going to Lou’s Custom Exhaust…great memories…😎👍🏾
@@KBCC_Garage I'm working on a beater station wagon and I've already ground off the molded in exhaust so this idea will be perfect! Cherry bombs and the Thrush cans, I loved them both too lol! My neighbors, not so much! Right after I made a set of cherry bombs for my road runner, I seen that VCG makes them in resin in case you didn't know.
@@pappytinkers that’s going to be pretty cool. I typically make my own glasspack mufflers out of styrene tubing. I’d still pick some up though for when I’m just not wanting to make them. 😆 I’d love to see your wagon. 😎👍🏾
😂 my pleasure, for sure! It’s something I’ve been doing long time and I figured some people could benefit from it…though I’m probably not the best teacher. 😆 Anyway, thanks for stopping in for a while. 😎👍🏾
