2 Months ago I ordered my Jeep a set of KBD plastic fender flares after I slaughtered the OEM ones when trying to trim them. I really wanted them 2 weeks ago before my Wellsville Ohio Off-Road trip but better late than never. This Thanksgiving time of year when Jeep parts come in the mail it feels like early Christmas so I'll take it. Also you'll get a peek at my new Smith and Wesson Knife I'm super happy with.

I've had my KBDs a little more than a year now. They have held up well but they did fade. I recently sprayed them with Raptorliner and I like the look much better. Even more than when they were new.

@@discover4x4 as for prep I just cleaned them with a degreaser and sanded them with something like a 180 grit. I wish I had done it much sooner, it looks a lot better.

Those look nice. Are u able to cut the metal tab on top on the front? They come out of the body.

They could be cut off but I choose to just leave those, they aren't hitting the tire as I thought they may be. Just in case they're needed in the future. Did you catch your Jeep at the end of the video? 😁

How have they held up so far? Are they very flexible?

Very flexible. At a spot in Tennessee we had one folder 100% over and they never broke, just popped right back up into position.

have you tested these yet? I see you do some gnarly off roading so wondering if they are worth it over the way more expensive options

I have not actually hit any trees or rocks with them YET but I can tell you they flex very well by hand so I have to assume they will work well. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another set. As long as you're not in a rush to get them. I will say, I also get compliments on them frequently.

@@discover4x4 awesome. Yea I was debating between them over the 3x+ priced metal fenders from PS or Aries. I did read about the fact that if metal fenders get hit hard enough they can cause body damage so leaning this route as they are already much cheaper as well.

We ran the Poison Spyder aluminum ones on my wife's Jeep. Loved those at well but hard to spend that $ again when these look just as good for a fraction of the cost

@@discover4x4 thats the thing..if they break, not that big of a deal to get another set. Poison Spyders dent too much and need to be replaced is a heavy purchase...especially if they're dents comes from a large impact occurrence that causes body damage as well.
