one of the purest hoopers in nba history. i'm glad he went through the burner account incident cuz now he's just comfortable being himself at all times. he can have a meaningless basketball debate with a rando anytime he wants to and not be ashamed of it.
It's a shame they don't play together as a team after the Olympic! I don't watch sports except during the Olympic, the emotional rollercoaster is exhausting and worth it every 4 years.😊
I think the end . With a lay up 2 in transition funny enough. Solidified that for me as well. Also seeing bron and him scream into each others face with real passion and excitement solidified the fact the moment was also happening for Me as well.
@@monojuice dude…i wont even say anything else…this game was vintage curry…where every 3 was going on…this was the curry from the championship run….I’m not sure whats there to argue…the curry of 22/23 wasnt the same curry that became the all time leader in 3s…that curry couldnt miss…this curry couldnt miss…the curry of 22/23 was very good too but it wasnt the same
@@sosa3559 yeah we’re insane yet it’s NOT insane, to say lebron is the closer when u have KD on the team? Glazers like u will always be selective in your thought process. Get it together bro bc we both know thousands were saying bron is the closer but i can’t expose that dumb thought? Yeah ur crazy weirdo
@@RenardGarzaro He's always had good in him lol that's the point. Haters just nit pick certain things to fit their narrative. Same for people who hate Curry or KD
@@Bballing23 key words "ended up with", a lot of these players have their entire careers left. Comparing them right now to what the Dream Team ended their careers with is gross and you should know that
I'm from Scotland 🏴 and don't regularly watch basketball 🏀 However, props should be given to Serbia 🇷🇸 as they pushed 🇺🇲 to the limit! Great game!
@@CitsVariantswell, the Serbia team has chemistry from playing together so often, whereas the US team only had two weeks. They usually play against each other. Great playing from the Serbians made this one of THE most memorable games EVER
@@ReviewBoard-uy5nvnot really true serbia did not have that much more chemistry most on the team are relatively new except for bogan and jokic they are just exceptionally talented
Now when you hear KD talk. You can feel the love for the game. That is not just doing this for money or fame but just pure love and appreciation for the game.
ALways love KD interviews....just so introspective and thoughtful, and it was great seeing him give all the credit to Serbia. The lineup the US had on the floor at the end was 'Bron, KD, Steph, Embiid and Booker...that's just a WOW. What a game, what a finish. A true instant classic!
One of the most unselfish stars of all time. Game would have been close if they just found him earlier but they waited till the end of the 3rd to involve him.
@@brendanbloom3366 Look @ his career and YOU do the math, KD has never been that leader type of guy, it's true!!! He was always a side guy when he was with the Warriors, he played a big part, but it wasn't HIS team, and he never was the leader on any of those warrior teams
@@toddshaw9441 Screw that leader crap that makes KD even better that he don't have to be a leader. He's a paid sniper assassin hitman. But KD plays great defense and is a great team player.
Number 30 is AVRAMOVIC! You can also call him ALEKSAAAAAAAAAA! Remember it well! This guy will not have a big career but when he's playing for his nation he becomes a different animal! He is fearless and ruthless!
Bro was lightning quick aswell he seemed like the fastest man on the court by a sizeable margin. I think it was late 3rd early 4th he ran in for a layup and looked like a speed demon His defense on Steph was pretty good aswell he’s just so quick and sticks to his man like glue I felt like Steph would of atleast gotten 42ish if it weren’t for him
USA has 28 million people actively playing basketball, and Serbia has 6.6 Million total population. Not to mention that every college in USA has better facilities then any first league team in Serbia. Giving that in mind I am proud how our players played this game. Team play and pure basketball knowledge. Very good game
From the USA here, was watching the whole time, and all I got to say is Serbia played an outstanding game against probably the most stacked USA team since 1992. The entire game, my gut was twisted because of how good and aggressive the Serbs played. Even right down to the wire, Serbia never gave up. If you guys play like that against Germany, you guys got Bronze, so keep your head up. You guys got a bright future.
Worry about your country don't come here gloating, your team plays together between the Olympics under the same rules you play in the Olympics, calm it down, if the USA did they same you would lose by 30 every game. If they were that good they would all do that in the NBA.
I Love ❤️ Kevin. “It Was God 🙏🏾 Talking Through Him (Chef 👨🏽🍳) Tonight”. This Is How You Humble Yourself (KD) & Acknowledge Your Teammate Talent. Kudos 👏🏾 To You. 🙏🏾🇺🇸🏀🏅
probably the best olympic hoops game I've seen. Serbia was no joke! As a Suns fan, I normally hate on all the other NBA stars...but for the olympics, its super dope to cheer for them 💪💪💪
A Serb here. So proud of our boys. Most of my countrymen thought we can’t beat them but I had a feeling we might manage to have at least an equal footing for most of the match. Turns out we had the energy and focus for 38 minutes straight but we just couldn’t finish the Team US off. Terrible defeat, I feel heartbroken and the more I think about it and the chance of the century to beat the best post-1992 Team US, the more I feel devastated. Congratulations to the Team US, the moral of the story is that basketball is not only played in the US, that they shouldn’t underestimate others and belittle them so much. Most Americans have no idea how seriously and passionately we take basketball over here, and that the whole nation prayed and hoped for the Team Serbia to win. A terrible, terrible moment for us, despite the immense pride I got for these guys.
Yea I agree but you also have to look at it from the other side when you’ve won so much and you’re that high of a pedigree you just don’t play the same as when you’re under pressure Look at the showcase between USA and South Sudan as an example Your guys seemed like they had a lot more on the line. Whereas I felt like US just had KD, Book, Steph and bron that were really trying 100% the whole game You guys also exploited Steph’s size out on the perimeter a lot in the first 3/4 but when your guys 3 ball wasn’t falling you guys didn’t seem to have much else Jokic was also the MVP but couldn’t hit a 3 or a long 2 to save his life for quite a bit of the last few games Also I don’t get how you could of been so confident it was going to be an equal footing game when you berely beat Australia when it was literally only Patty doing anything giddy scored but had 7 turn overs and the rest of Aus were to scared to put up shots unless they were wide open and jock Landale and Daniels shrunk awfully in the last game
@@haku4841 while we did rely a lot on the 3P, I really don’t think we were in the lead due to it. We played defense incredibly well and in quite a versatile fashion. The 0/9 for 3 in the 4/4 was the consequence of losing focus, energy, stamina and a bit of panic at the end. We played with only 8 guys in rotation, of which Avramovic won’t even play the EuroLeague next season. And we almost beat the team with 4 NBA MVPs. Australia was a matter of pressure on the team Serbia. Simply we knew we mustn’t lose against them. Personally even at -24 I didn’t really fear much (obviously I can’t prove this to you). We have been daydreaming about beating the Team US ever since early 1990s and the breakup of Yugoslavia. That dream lead us and kept us alive for 38minutes. It simply wasn’t enough. Not to mention the US had to import Embiid, they don’t have one single white guy (simply Africans have superior genetics, I don’t mean it in a racist fashion or at least it’s positive discrimination). A nation of 320 million people had to import folks and only won 4pts against a nation of 7 million relying on only one genetic substrate. A poor, depopulating nation that is slowly dying out. If that’s not a fairytale that almost manifested, I don’t know what is.
The best basketball players are still in the USA. The USA will continue to dominate for decades to come. Serbia has good shooters but the USA has the best athletes and basketball players.
@@garywilkerson2398 no doubt about it. However, on the international level the gap has never been smaller. Not to mention the best NBA players currently all or most come from abroad. I firmly believe Serbia and some others have a chance in LA2028, way bigger than in Barcelona 1992 Olympics.
@@bojanveljovic559yeah their guards shot lights out, but our crappy perimeter defense helped. No idea why we waited for the last quarter to go over screens.
@@bojanveljovic559 38% was by the end due to poor 4th Q and this is why Serbia lost in 4th. At the half, Serbia was above 50% 3pt and during first Q at some point it was almost 90%, like 7 out of 8 or something. Pretty much the very high 3pt % in the first Q was the main reason why Serbia was leading the whole game until the end.
I am Serbian and I am gonna be biased shout-out to the refs but respect to Lebron, Steph and KD incredible game from all of them especially Steph who killed us in this one and probably played the best game ever in US Olympic history considering circumstances and kudos to KD for giving us the props
Bro that number 30 from Serb played a heck of a D on Steph aswell I felt like he would have gotten 45-50 if it weren’t for him. He also looked lightning quick aswell definitely the fastest guy on the court, that layup he hit toward the end of the game seemed like he just smoked everyone with his speed Also idk why but they didn’t look for Steph much in the late 2nd or 3rd quarter
@@haku4841 that bro is Aleksa Avramovic he is one of the premier defenders in European basketball Very quick and agile and also brings a lotta energy and momentum, easily fastest player on our team and also had a lot of success against Jrue Holiday and Steph ik Steph isnt that great but still outpacing him in a lot of situations is very impressive plus also trying to catch him he is kinda like Dellavedova if I have to compare except he is much better offensively and much more athletic
Serbia played a near perfect game for the first 3 quarters. Unfortunately for the Serbs, they lacked depth and their starters got gassed. Jokic is great but the addition of Embid and LBJ makes this team different in the front court. Curry finally got hot and loose on the perimeter.
We will never get to see those guys play together again like that… this final, I’m going to enjoy each play, each team USA player on the floor, bench reactions as well, to the fullest and look back on that day and tell myself, I saw those guys in real time taking the gold, with 3 of the best basketball players of all time on the same team.
lol i never thought I’d see an instant hardwood classic in the Olympics. This was a fantastic game that had u on the edge of your seat. Especially if you’re rooting for USA. Heartbreaker for Serbia
KD has copped so much hate, a lot of hits to his 'character', but in truth he's just a super real dude who lives and breathes basketball and loves and respects those who do the same.
Wonderful game. And I love hearing KD, so well spoken, so thoughtful...his feeling for this special moment and his appreciation for his team and the Serbian team...truly OLYMPIAN!
Full respect for KD. One of my favorite player. No one can really defend him. He is killer. Shame our brother Doncic didn't play for Serbia (father Serbian, mother Slovenian, already choose Slovenia). That would be show. Best game ever!
KD is a changed man. He’s not the miserable soul he used to be. He really needs for people to show him love on a national level to keep from getting grumpy. It’s nice to see, he seems happy.
Reality is that it came down to the serbian missing that 3 points when he was totally isolated & missed the rebound, was 84-86 Serbia, would have been 84-89. Instead Curry scored the 3 and USA lead 1 point and never looked back. That was the tipping point.
