Depends on the guitar. He has a "22-fret version" that repositions some of the notes that he originally played on 24 frets.

He only has 22 frets here

Ive just learnt that solo from the RHS tape,,think im going to change that fast run to this as it looks slightly easier

@@fretburns In the 22-fret version you have to do a string skip in the ascending part but the gain is that you land on a better finger for the final vibrato on that part than in the 24-fret version!

You Europe fanboys have clearly never listened to any of Europe's early albums (such as Wings of tomorrow). Kee is a great player, but Norum is superior.

Studied both playings. They do apply the same techniques (tapping, alternate picking, legato, sweep picking, etc). As for speed John goes 15nps, Kee goes 14nps, the fastest they have gone. And going to their cons, John was a super clean player, but yeah, sometimes he would fuck up, one example, Cherokee on Solnahallen 1986, same with Kee, sometimes kind of dirty (here he is apologized, not his fault they gave him a shitty amp and a guitar with real thick strings (This just proves how hell of a guitar player Kee is). And well, as for Kee, when trying to improvise on another guitarist solo (in this case, Norum) he doesnt really know how to make the solo as creative and iconic as John did (not saying Kee didnt make any creative or iconic solo, He surely did it with OOTW, but just watch both of them improvising a solo, thats all I will say). As for feeling, its a matter of taste, but I stay with Norum, for me he had and applied more nuances than Kee, have some arguments for it, but As I said, thats just a matter of tastes. So both are great guitar players, no need to put one down over the other, stop talkin shit about Norum or Kee, for real its stupid, specially Kee fanboys, watch every video of John or Kee and you'll at least see more Kee fanboys saying Norum was shit 😂. Seriously, stop it man. Both are great and thats it.
