+ everybody who wants them. My son and I just started our journey, and we both follow Yannie, to the T. Rose water, water and castor oil. I started mine 10th Feb, and I don’t go back til after May 10th. My hair is light as a feather, getting thicker and I work out 5-6 days a week w no odor. I looooove Yannie!!!
I wish my locs grew like hers. My hair grows AWAY from my locs and it’s super annoying. Come retwist time, I got a Jackson 5 fro with locs sticking out.
I said NO to color because of Yannie. Especially color that needs lifting/bleach. I learned so much from her! So grateful to her for sharing her knowledge and expertise advise. From supplements to wash routines. Blessings to Yannie & Jimmie.💜
I live all the way in England, and I have sisterlocks - but I watch this channel like a pastor reads the bible 🤣🤣🤣 I like the simple, healthy, natural, positive advice and I’ve been able to adapt some of my routine where appropriate. Love it, thank you.
I love your approach to locs period. I started out with sisterlocks but combined them to have bigger locs. I need to do better at covering my hair. I sweat in my head at night so it's hard for me to do that. Otherwise please keep speaking truth and light Yannie! 💕♥🌺
I had never grown out my hair in my entire life, then i turned 28 and wanted dreads, i had no experience and i found this channel, you have helped my so much in my loc journey, ive had dreads for two years now and i thank you Yannie for sharing your knowledge with all of us 🙏❤️ you are the mother of my locs
I did it all, jus name it. Yes green and burnt orange as well. Yes I'm a crazy trini. I regretted that I put those colors in my hair. But it's already done and I learnt from my mistakes. But that Empress hair is amazing. Her new growth grows in with the loc. I am jealous. Blessings all.
It's true. I'm terrified of them falling. Jimmy is perfect with babies. I'll be literally on the other side of the screaming "omg your baby so cute". I don't touch them. Lol
Would love to come and see you with my locs but I'm all the way in England 🇬🇧 and can't travel because of the situation covid 19 x stay blessed darling x
Peace and blessings Sista Yannie, do what she says and your locs will love you back. I listened to your videos a year before starting my locs this past Nov and they're forming perfectly disrespectful. Thank you so kindly from New Orleans!💞
Blessings everyone! Yannie, that video you did with your "twin" is one for the medics, I mean almost all the specialists, even the psychologists! Again, you are blessing us plenty as you share in your life's journey. You are really okay.
My Loc Anniversary was yesterday! March 24 made 5 years since I began my Loc journey😋. I dye my hair but only once a year. I just dyed my hair the end of January, before then May 2019 was the last time I had my Locs dyed.
I loosened my 173 small locs and got 87 bigger two stand twists because of yannie. I love the insights you give and i wish I knew your channel earlier, i would've been locked for more than a year by now. I love the thick locs and i hope mine get as thick as I pray for and I'm following every rule in yannie book. Love love you yannie and hopefully I'd sit in your chair. This lady's locs are super gorgeous.
That’s me, looking back and asking myself what happened to my locs. Rubber bands, thread, bleach….my locs are thin and no where as thick as it was. Omg
That's why I always tell clients the damage you do with your locs will not be noticeable over night but one day you will look back and see a vast difference. Not doing "the most" with your locs is THE BEST THING you can do for your crown. True talk.
Looking forward to being in Yannie and Jimmy’s presence! 9 months in and so grateful for this journey. Thank you both for sharing your knowledge and insight. Blessings!
Tanning, I just discovered you and I’m in love with you and Jimmy!💖 I’ve been going back and forth with the idea of locking my hair but I’m going to wash my hair and plait it to start my loc journey. I am binge watching your video and gaining so many pearls of wisdom. Thanks for sharing your knowledge of hair, life, love, etc!💖💖💖
I made my 1 yr on March 20 and have been following you since I've started. My locs are thick and disrespectful😂 Like that lady my new growth grows inside the loc. Thanks for your knowledge Queen❤

Yannie, I called a few times. Next month is a milestone year for me. I will be turning 35 & what I want most is for you to bless my crown. I have followed your techniques and they have worked. I just want your hands in my head lol. Please call me back
"Absoultely 💘 love you videos Yannie. Soo informative and helpful. Such "Great advise. Much 💘 love Yannie. Keep the videos coming. In case you read this, I'm curious of how you feel about Design Essentials Clairifyng Shampoo??
Yannie! You give so much wonderful information! Everyone says my locs are beautiful but I can't seem to get them mositurized or oiled enough! My mom trained my hair to like a lot of oil. Now, that I am grown it still craves it and I can't help it. 😢 I don't want to cut my hair so I am going to your link and trying everything to get it thicker and healthier, stronger everywhere else and longer in the top. Its midway my back now. Your clients have made me a believer💕💕
Yannie what is your opinion of the new color wax? It's suppose to give you vibrant color without damaging the hair and rinses right out. My son said you can put it on wet or dry. I told him wait let me ask Yannie. Lol thanks in advance.
Man I started dread 2 years and 2/3 months ago and still no retwist..... should I get one. My hair naturally grows with my dreads/////// are retwist necessary, I made my dreads myself, and I just don’t want the pattern to change. Is that possible. But yanni you the goat. You inspired me and gave me guidance from a distance, thanks 🖤
I just started my locs in December 23 2022 and my locs get a lot of frizz and my hair is grey but i am not got to put color in my hair i just want my locs to be healthy
That's what I've been preaching to people for years. At least you said never again. Some folks continue to do it until they're completely bald. Smh. Don't worry love it will grow back. Just focus on keeping the scalp healthy. ;)
@@YannietheLocologist thank you for the encouragement. You offer such good information. I love my locs and haven't once regretted growing them in the 20 years I've had them. May God continue to bless you and your hands!!!! You are a blessing!!!
My scalp looks like a snake skin peeling and it Itches. For the pass two months. What is the cause of it and how do I stop it. I’ve been looking up solutions for a while. Please and thank in advance (3 months starter locs )
It sounds like it could be psoriasis or seborrheic dermatitis. Yanni has a video on home remedies for that. But it’s best to see a dermatologist or Trichologist first to confirm what’s exactly is going on.
