See, I tried feeding my leopard geckos canned/freeze dried insects when I first got them, and they both completely rejected their food. They wouldn’t even touch it. But as soon as I got live insects, they took to eating

Recently, I just got three female leopard geckos. I got them almost a month ago. I think things have been going pretty well. In my opinion, I think they’re relatively easy to care for.

Leopard geckos are my favourite gecko species. Theyre easy to care for, beautiful, so cute, and pretty ok with handling🥰 when I first discovered them I thought their tails were kinda weird and I want sure I like it haha, but I think it's funny because that's one of my favourite part of them now😂 their tails are beautiful and soft and really unique, my gecko has a little heart shape on her tail, I love it! And I think it's soooooo adorable when they bask and do little pancakes/sploots to soak up the heat or uvb

Just got an Albino Leo last week. Took me a couple of days to understand how to sort out the crickets and worms. I got his terrarium set up real nice. With a wet and dry hide. He must be a couple of months old only. Now things gradually get easier. Ruby let's me feed him now. Step by step

i have two leos in their own 40 gallons my leos have always been so tame because ive always made a noise to make them know im there so then right away they know to either come out of their hide and come to little area were i normally feed em and they are really gentle so i just hand feed em .

Hi I'm thinking of getting a leopard gecko but the thing is as a student I sometimes travel back to my hometown like once a month,and I take the train / monorail. Would it be stressful for them ? Or are they fine with travelling?

unless it's a small baby, i'd say no. honestly, even 20 gallons is a bit small imo for an adult leo. mine is in the equivalent of a 40 gallon breeder and he def uses all the space

do you need a uv light if your gecko gets sunlight for example I have two pretty big windows I keep open and its easy to tell when it night and day so would it be necessary ? ps the gecko won't be hit directly by the sun but they'll be placed somewhere where you can still tell if its night or day

Hi, I need to learn a bit, so, what tank do you use? how do I purify tap water? Can I just use a heating mat for heat? How to I clean wood? What heating mat? Do I need to gut load bugs? know this is a lot (Srry). Thx :)

Heat mats are not a good heat source. A halogen flood bulb connected to dimmer/dimming thermostat is the most natural and beneficial option, Arcadia’s deep heat projector is the second best option. They produce IRA and IRB like the sun, heat that penetrates deep into the skin tissue and heats them far more effectively than heat mats. Whereas heat mats only produce IRC, which only heats the surface of their skin. You generally don’t need to purify tap water. Tap water is generally safe on its own but it can depend on the region. You can also use spring water. To sterilize wood you can bake it in the oven. A 20 gallon long is the bare minimum, 40 gallons or bigger is strongly recommended. Front opening is ideal but not completely necessary. There are many types of enclosures you can use (glass, wooden, PVC, plastic bin, even a grow tent). And yes, you need to gutload their feeders.

Not sure if you reply to comments but I would love your advice. I currently have a 5-6 week old gecko. He’s very skittish as I suspected. I’ve attempted to tame him but he darts across the Viv every time. Should I leave him for a few weeks then continue the taming, or just persist until he calms down. It’s a 2ft Vivarium at 30 degrees Celsius. Thank you. Great videos!😁

Start slow by just placing your hand, but not trying to grab him. Gradually build up to him walking on your hand, then picking him up, etc. Feeding by hand and stuff might help as well! :)

They also store food in their tails. It's a weird thing that found read on. They store it in their tails and that's why they can go several days without food. I love you funko pops!

Any brand will do. A couple of good ones are Arcadia, zoo med, and Repashy Calcium Plus (an all in one). If not using an all in one, dust with calcium every other feeding and vitamins every three feedings. One supplement needs d3 unless you use UVB (which is highly beneficial).

They don’t need any heat at night, a temperature drop is fine. They can tolerate a drop down to 60.

NEVER and i repeat NEVER buy your geckos or pets from petco they do not take care of them well I suggest you look at some clips on yt. i got mine from petsmart and he was very healthy so I would say buy one from petsmart

A suitable loose substrate mix (such as a soil/playsand or soil/sand/clay mix) is ideal for burrowing enrichment.
