It’s important to make sure students feel what they are learning is relevant, says Greg Walker, senior VP of state and district partnerships, College Board.
WorkingNation sat down with Walker at SXSW EDU 2024 in Austin.
Regarding learning, he says, “How do they connect it to careers, connect it to opportunities? Internship is also something that's really important. Are there opportunities for kids to get out in the workforce to roll up their sleeves and learn about themselves? That's where I think students really begin to find themselves and then they see connectedness into what they're learning in school.”
