Agree completely. Kei and Kite are two of my favorite dancers, but for some reason Green just seems at the top of the mountain right now. Idk if it is his understanding of the music or connection to it, but it's like each song is made for his dancing.

Yeah that really confused me, Kei definitely has the flavor, he was the main Japanese students of skeet and already sink into the dance scene more than 20 years but, GT just seems purer. I don‘t think background determinism could conclude that...

Think absolutely his foundation and musical connection is on a different planet here! The way he can select concepts, stretch them out, blend, and transition and do it all so clean, perfectly in the groove.. it's just alien. His competition was amazing, but Green made them look generic.

Green trains really, really hard. All the time. He also just completely deconstructed his old style and focused more on the boogaloo and brought it all together recently into an amazing package. And don't forget, he's one of Fish's main students, and Fish is on another level too.

However, though he likes that type of GFunk most of the times he don't even hit the beat. He is more show than anything. I appreciate more when a popper hits his beats accordingly.

@@xXserkXx I do not know what you call not hitting the rhythm, if in the Gfunk style it is where it hits the most, I have seen it lose the musicality more in traditional funk even though I think it has something that not all popers have, green has more resources to handle more styles and its range of movements is much larger than most of poper, for that reason it is still a matter of taste and style, since just as green loses something in the musical aspect, unlike the poper more musical and more striking. they are generally the popers with the most repetitive movements. And a great example of that was salah that was extraordinarily musical and could accommodate his usual movements at any rhythm, but against it he had that in his rounds everyone knew that movements would perform something similar to the path that hoan has taken in recent time. .. kei's case he is good and I like his style, but I think he is very good and he has an extraordinary agitation. But I think that their level has a limit that does not reach the highest poper level.

@@marcosgimenez2369 don't get me wrong I agree with the fact green is a versátile popper has lots of aces under his sleeve but would be even greater than he already is if he synchronized more with the music. I mean he does but not as much as he should in my opinion.

@@xXserkXx If I also agree on that point, if there is something that Green should polish the theme of musicality more, because the rest aspect handles them almost perfectly, hand games, foot games, technique, creativity, flexibility and styles of poping ... that is why the theme is more of a taste, as you like more hits and I go more for creativity and spontaneity.

The problem with poppers like Hoan, Gucchon, Kei and a handful of others, is that they can only "kill the beat". It's good when you've got an upbeat, high paced, drum/snare heavy beat, but if you don't have exceptional musicality in general, you get exposed for it with other style of songs. These beats are just as much popping songs as the ones Hoan and the likes usually dance to and win with. You gotta be able to do both. Otherwise, you're not a dancer, you're just a drummer. Freedom of expression and flowing with the beat are totally essential to achieve an all-rounder status in popping. Kite, Hozin, Dokyun, Greentec etc. are all much more connected with music in general I feel. Might not always be the most stunning look from the outside, but when they're feeling a track, hard poppers can barely hold a candle to them in terms of the creative process.
