とっても軽いボディにちょっと元気なエンジン積んたくらいのクルマがなんだかんだ楽しいんだよね

I had a KP61 Starlet 12 years ago when I was 16, they were cheap af back then here in NZ and I chucked a 4K engine from a Corolla in it. Was an awesome car, I wish I had it now. 80s and 90s Japanese cars have absolutely skyrocketed in value here now.

いいクルマの定義は人それぞれだろうけど、全体的に今のクルマは燃費・静かさ・（広さ等の）パッケージングに振りすぎている気がする。ここまでイジったクルマじゃなくてもいいけど元の素材の良し悪しはある。必ずしも走り屋御用達のﾓﾃﾞﾙではなくても普通のクルマが以外に気持ちいいってファンもいるんだけど、少数派なんだろうな。この動画を見て楽しいのと同時にちょっと悲しい気持ちになる。

This is may be the best to do : take a historic ride and tune it for perf. 10k RPM engine is just screaming. So nice.

The second KP61 would surely be a monster with the "3.5" gear setup like his AE86 has.

この頃の車はやはり運転に対して緊張感が持てた。 今の車は電子制御や安全装備のお陰でイージードライブにはなってるけど、そのイージーさが仇になって踏み間違い事故とかが増えてる気がする。

乗ってました。面白かった。ぼろぼろで最後は窓の開け閉めが困難になってきて料金所で5センチしか開けられず困ってました。トヨタは８６の弟分を作るそうですが、ぜひ軽くて楽しい車を作ってほしい。FRだから冬場の天王山以東はスタッドレスタイヤ必須になりますけど。

It's kind of cool to learn that Toyota used to have a car that was fun.

I drove a modern eco compact sub 1000cc 64hp under 900kg as well. A blast in corner especially in the wet. It can out corner anything heavier.

昔 kp61でダートラやってた b1で初めてc1までやった パワーバンドは6000から9000だった 楽しかった

メーカーさんの事情も理解出来るし、若い人が自動車を購入出来ないような現状も理解出来る…でも、運転して楽しいのは、こういう自動車ってお手本と感じました。 当時の愛車は、カロⅡリトラでどノーマルだったけど…OPTION読んで妄想してました。

エンジン音を聴いてるだけでニヤニヤしちゃうｗ こんだけ気持ちよく高回転まで回るエンジンで走ると楽しいよね。 自分はＡＥ101のスーチャーエンジンで山道をドライブしていた頃がありました。 今はＶＯＸＹに乗っていますがどうしてもコーナーを攻めたくなる衝動にかられミニバンのタイヤを極端な片減りにしてしまいます。 やっぱ車は３ペダですよね～。コキコキして楽しみたい！！

I dearly miss my KP61... It was such a riot to drive and it took a lot of personal fortitude to get used to not lifting off the throttle while cornering... :) I even left a 2006 STi in the dust on a canyon drive in my 100% stock and original KP61. :) But, it was half the weight, so that helped. :)

KPは４ACを載せたたのを2台持っていた（すぐにホンダに変わりましたが）。 後のKPはウサギの如く跳ねてましたの。プロが乗ってあれは恐ろしい。

i prefer the fist one, 'mechanical tuned' , and seems like more balanced too

on the toyota starlet kp61. try using 14 inch rims with 185/65/14. theres more body roll and softer. and more grip. youd go faster through the turns.

KP61シートとステアリングにポジション合わせるとシフトレバーがやたら遠くに行っちゃう。ノーマルだと。トルクピークでシフトアップすると5速まで145R12のタイヤがキュッとかわいく鳴いてくれてた。

ロードスターもいいが、スターレットものってみたい

6:27 Man, that starlet brake dives too much. Tire rubbing destroyed that driver side front fender.

That supercharged one needed the fenders pulled or have flares! Sucks that the fender got damaged during that run. =[

Something happened with that supercharged KP61, which they didn't show us.. The front fender is damaged when they show it racing, but it was still fine before then!
