Keir Starmer criticises Suella Braverman to shouts of 'sack her' in House of Commons

Sir Keir Starmer has accused Rishi Sunak of delivering “more of the same” by presenting a King’s Speech containing “party first, country second gimmicks”.
The Labour leader also said Mr Sunak “cannot be a serious Prime Minister” if he continues with Suella Braverman in post, as he claimed the Home Secretary was pursuing “her divisive brand of politics”.
Shouts of “sack her” and “shame” could be heard in the Commons as Sir Keir criticised Mrs Braverman for recent remarks, including her claim that rough sleeping is sometimes a “lifestyle choice”.
Mrs Braverman made the comment after sharing an article from the Financial Times reporting about how she pushed for restrictions on the use of tents in urban environments.

Watching PMQ's and our politicians laughing, joking and sniping at each other like immature children, when our nation is falling apart is nothing short of shocking, they should be absolutely ashamed of themselves and understand that this is not about them or their 2 minutes of fame on the TV. Our nation faces some of the largest challenges in decades and they need to get a grip and take things seriously, this is not a game to see who gets the most laughs or rally support for their grubby little private deals with industry friends, our nation is at stake.

From what I understand Paul, Rishi was trying to unite the various sides of the party and Cruella is a strong front face for the right and he didn't wanna alienate them as that would be problematic. Unfortunately she knows she kinda has him over a barrel and thus she just seems to be doing and saying whatever she likes.

If I was him I'd take the hit, get rid of her and then try and mend fences with the right leaning MPs afterwards but I'm guessing he's too worried about his ability to deal with that level of division. She's a nasty piece of work and just seems to be dripping poison all over the place. Plus I think she's waiting for her first opportunity to stab him in the back and take aim at being leader herself.

I don't like Starmer, he's a cosmetic politician, put in place to give an impression of Blair-like, centrist, lassaiz-faire, electability. However, he's spot on in his critique of Sunak and Braverman. He exposes weak leadership and an irresponsible home secretary, who, of course, has been sacked in disgrace. Sunak now has senior Tory, Cameron, to give an impression of stability and to help him make those difficult decisions that PM's are supposed to have the ability to carry out!
